2013 has been something of a vintage year for Brad Pitt – his troubled zombie thriller World War Z became a smash hit against all odds, and he co-produced Steve McQueen's critically acclaimed Oscar frontrunner 12 Years a Slave.
As the actor celebrates his 50th birthday, Digital Spy takes a look back over 10 key moments from his on-screen career.
Brad Pitt turns 50: 11 vintage pictures to celebrate

Because... wow. Pitt had a few early roles on the small screen – most notably in 21 Jump Street, Dallas and short-lived Fox high school drama Glory Days – but we feel 'Once You Pop', directed by Lawrence Bridges, really sums up the first era of his career. That era being "the eighties".
2. Thelma & Louise (1991)
This year's The Counsellor reunited Pitt with Ridley Scott, the director who gave him his first break on the big screen in 1991's iconic womance. After Billy Baldwin dropped...

This morning I was reading up on actor Ira Aldridge (Adrian Lester is playing him in a new stage production at the Tricycle theater in London - see Sergio's announcement Here), and I stumbled upon this video of Chiweter Ejiofor performing Hamlet, from Lawrence Bridges' 2005 documentary Why Shakespeare?, which featured similar performances, as well as reflections on the Bard, from the likes of Tom Hanks, Michael York, Martin Sheen, Julie Taymor, William Shatner, Bill Pullman, Michael Richards, Christina Applegate, and of course Chiwetel Ejiofor, and a few others. The National Endowment for the Arts comissioned the short 20-minute work, which is embedded after the...

Last night on The Neighbors Marty and Debbie made their first attempt at - well, human contact. After spending the past weeks with just their children and the Zabvronians, the human couple was itching for some normalcy and planned to have their four favorite couples over for a boys’ night of poker, and a girls’ night out. Marty and Debbie Weaver carefully plan their method of breaking the news to Larry Bird and Jackie Joyner-Kersee very carefully, as apparently, whenever Larry feels pain or rejection (or any emotion as we see later) the rest of the Zabvronian community does, too.

To celebrate the release of James Cameron’s Avatar on Blu-ray and DVD Fox flew actor Stephen Lang over to the UK to talk all things Pandora, and once he made it through Ming the Merciless’s Volcanic Ash Cloud of Certain Doom we were lucky enough to sit down with the man to ask him a few questions.
Lang gives a gracious and thoughtful interview, his talent as an actor evident from his body of work beyond Avatar, and he talks about the process of shooting Avatar with James Cameron, his thoughts on Colonel Quaritch’s return in the Avatar sequels, and how Quaritch came to be as we see him on the screen.
It’s a fascinating look at his character, and the film itself and I want to thank Stephen for taking the time to talk with us.
You can listen to the interview below.
Exclusive Interview with Stephen Lang.
