Herald-Times columnist Lucius Beebe (who regularly tattled on their comings
and goings), Tallulah Bankhead, Clifton Webb and scandalized Broadway star
Libby Holman.
He was good friends with Humphrey Bogart; Bogart and Lauren Bacall were married in Bromfield's house.
Bromfield was a direct descendant of legendary American frontiersman
Daniel Boone.
