Web TV is exploding. Along with countless independent filmmakers, legends like the Cohen Brothers and Jerry Zucker are now creating Web-based shows. It's a new era in TV!
Drunk History, Between Two Ferns with Zack Galifinakis, and Mr. Deity are just a few of the Web TV series that viewers are flocking to, and some think that the next big hit series may not be on TV, but on the Web. Ross Brown, a writer behind hit TV shows such as The Cosby Show, The Facts of Life and Who's the Boss? has created the first-ever curriculum on writing and producing Web TV at Chapman University; and in his new book Byte-sized Television: Create Your Own TV Series For The Internet (Michael Wiese Productions, February 2011, paperback) he offers cutting-edge technical and creative guidance. "The next big thing on TV probably won't be on TV, but on the Web," says Brown.
