Died after he hit his head against a glass door in his dining room, shattering the glass, and cutting himself in the neck.
He started out as a jazz drummer, and moved into rock and pop in the 1960s. He had been a member of blues band Slim's Blues Gang, pop group Science Poption, and jazz-pop group Opus III.
He and bass player Rutger Gunnarsson were the only musicians who played on all of Abba's albums.
