She joined the film business in 1914 and she impersonated several roles in the next years.
During World War II she did not act in movies again and her engagements at the theater diminished too.
When she came back from the States she continued her stage career in Germany successfully and she appeared on different stages in Munich, Berlin and Stuttgart. Beside it she also worked in the nearby abroad.
The actress Else Bötticher made first acting experiences on small stages before she went on tour in the USA where she remained active for the next two years.
In the 20's she concentrated again to the theater and it lasted till to the beginning of the 30's before she appeared in movies again.
She made her cinematical comeback after the war, among others with "Mein Vater, der Schauspieler" (1956).
