The episode of The Test of Time covering Pumpkinhead was Written by Andrew Hatfield, Narrated by Niki Minter, Edited by Mike Conway, Produced by John Fallon and Tyler Nichols, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
The horror landscape is filled to the brim with icons and mascots that were successful and failures. The big ones like Freddy, Jason, and Michale speak for themselves, hence only needing their first names mentioned here. You could even go another round with Pinhead, the Leprechaun or Leatherface for that matter. Looking down the aisle at the literal murderer’s row of horror movie villains, you can’t shake a stick without hitting some one-off baddies that were clearly meant for multi-movie stardom but due to box office or critical hate were relegated to one movie. Killers like Horace Pinker from Shocker, Dr. Decker from Nightbreed, and Cropsey from The Burning. What about those stuck...

Plot: Authors Dustin McNeill and Travis Mullins look back at the making of all seven films in the Child’s Play / Chucky franchise.
Review: For the last ten years or so, author Dustin McNeill appears to have dedicated his life to crafting “scary good books on scary good movies”. He has written two books on the Phantasm franchise, detailed Freddy vs. Jason’s long journey through development hell, covered the Halloween franchise (up to the 2018 film), and then wrote a book about more than twenty Halloween movie scripts and pitches that never made it into production. Along the way, he even wrote a book about the Jaws ride. For the Halloween books – Taking Shape and Taking Shape II – McNeill had Travis Mullins as a co-writer. Now McNeill and Mullins have turned their attention to another one of the horror genre’s most popular franchises: the Child’s Play / Chucky franchise. With their...

Hello, dear readers! We’re back with a brand-new batch of home media releases for this week, and there’s definitely something for everyone in Tuesday’s Blu-ray and DVD titles. If you missed it when it was released late last year, you can finally catch up with Spell this week, and for those of you who are looking to add some more classic titles to your personal collections, there’s certainly an array of films headed home this week that surely fit that bill.
Kino Lorber is showing some love to Frank Darabont’s Buried Alive this Tuesday, and Code Red is keeping themselves busy with a pair of cult titles headed to Blu as well: Just Before Dawn and The Devil’s Wedding Night. Other notable releases for January 12th include Rituals, Go/Don’t Go, It Cuts Deep, Devilman: Special Edition, and a Double Feature Blu-ray for both Zombieland films.

Starring: Alan Hayes (Steven), Leilani Sarelle (Natalie), Donna Locke (Paula), Victor Elliot Brandt (Devin), David Muir (Wylie), Marta Kober (Lorraine), P.R. Paul (Eugene), Jeff Tyler (Wally), Amber Austin (Lisa), James Acheson (Ray), Chuck Hemingway (Gary), Bo Sabato (Manello), Jessie Lawrence Ferguson (Carson), John Lafayette(Thomas), Gene Bicknell (Cozzie)
Neon Maniacs is by far one of the most obvious 1980s B horror films I have seen in quite some time. It doesn’t try to disguise the era at all with the blaring 80s songs, the teen sex, right down to the slightly cheesy monsters attacking people. I honestly don’t see how this movie has fallen by the wayside as I rarely hear any horror fan talk about it in the least in B movie circles. It is far from perfect but it is at least a fun movie.

Buried Alive
Stars: Tim Matheson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, William Atherton, Hoyt Axton | Written by David A. Davies, Mark Patrick Carducci | Directed by Frank Darabont
When Buried Alive arrived for me to review I thought I remembered this one it’s the Edgar Allen Poe story right? The short answer is no. it may use the name of a Poe story and it may use his common themes but in the end this is not the Buried Alive that he wrote.
Clint Goodman is a normal man, he built his house for his wife and he thinks they are happy and their life is perfect. The only problem is Joanna his wife is having an affair with their doctor. The doctor and the wife are greedy and decide they need to get rid of Clint, and how will they do this? Poison him and give him a cheap funeral so they...
