- No Inquest on Actor - No inquest will be held on Mr. Paul Carpenter, aged 42, the actor, who died in his dressing room at the Vaudeville Theatre, London while preparing for a rehearsal. He died from natural causes. (The Times, June 15 1964).
- Canadian actor and vocalist/announcer (with Carroll Gibbons and Ted Heath in the 1940's), star of the BBC Radio serial "Riders of the Range" (1949-1953) and leading man in British 1950's second feature melodramas and potboilers. He was also a former war correspondent and ice hockey champion.
