She went to Austria in 1920 and founded
the Cartellierifilm Gmbh company where she produced her first feature move "Die Würghand" (1920).
At the age of 16 she got married with the painter and director Emanuel Ziffer Edler von Teschenbruck.
She became acquainted with the director Cornelius Hintner who engaged her for her first movie called "Das Zigeunermächen". She acted in this movie with the pseudonym Carmen Teschen.
She became one of the most popular actresses in Austria in the twenties.
