Even though Bir Khalsa was eliminated on last week’s Quarterfinals 2 results show, the Indian danger act still remained all smiles during their “America’s Got Talent” exit interview (watch above). “Our favorite memory was when we got a standing ovation from all the judges in the first round,” they said in reference to their viral audition. “Walking on that stage in front of America was great and amazing. This round, to walk in the Dolby Theatre was one of our dreams come true. We have always seen it on television and now we are performing and all of America is watching us.”

Hey, "America's Got Talent" fans. Tonight, August 14, 2019, the first results show for the quarterfinal rounds did indeed air, and five acts were unfortunately eliminated when it was all said and done. All the judges: Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell were on hand. Tonight's results show kicked off with a brief recap of last night's performances. Right after that, host Terry Crews got right down to business by bringing the 12 acts on stage to see who America voted through to the semifinal rounds. He also revealed that there was a glitch that occurred in the voting last night, which meant that the judges wouldn't get to use their special "save" this week. The top 6 acts based on America's vote advanced to the semifinals. Then the 7th, 8th and 9th place acts were included in something called the Dunkin' Save. “America’s Got Talent” sweetheart Ansley Burns returned to NBC’s reality TV show as a wild card in the Quarterfinals 1 episode and all eyes were on whether mean judge Simon Cowell would stop her mid-performance for the third time in a row. Thankfully, the 13-year-old South Carolina singer was able to perform her rendition of LeAnn Rimes‘ “Swingin” from start to finish without any interruptions. It’s a miracle! However, Simon still did scold Ansley for her song choice — because what else is new? Will America vote Ansley through to the Semifinals? Ansley Burns may be gone, but she certainly won’t be forgotten. This 12-year-old singer from South Carolina made a huge impression on “America’s Got Talent” fans thanks to mean judge Simon Cowell stopping her mid-performance not once, but twice. Both times Simon stopped her because he didn’t like the backing track, then asked her to sing a capella on the spot. Despite judges Simon, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Howie Mandel and Ellie Kemper all raving about her last performance, Ansley was eliminated in the third Judge Cuts episode. Now a whopping 41% of people who voted in our recent poll claim that Ansley was “robbed” of a shot in the live shows.

Carmen Carter became an early favorite on “America’s Got Talent” following her audition performance of Inxs‘s “Never Tear Us Apart,” with Simon Cowell proclaiming that she should never be “discriminated against because of [her] size.” When Carmen returned to the stage during the Judge Cuts 3 episode, Simon seemed to change his tune following her rendition of The Beatles‘ “Come Together.” Watch the “Agt” video above and read the judges’ comments below.
“Even though it wasn’t perfect, your voice is outstanding,” Simon told the professional background singer. “But you can’t just keep doing cover versions and expect everything to materialize. That’s the only thing in my opinion you’re lacking, but we’ll see. Good luck.” With so many artists performing original songs this season, is Simon perhaps suggesting that he wants Carmen to branch out and perform an original tune during her next appearance?

Has “America’s Got Talent” found its most likeable guest judge yet? “I am going to be the kind of judge that you would like to have a beer with,” declares Ellie Kemper in her pre-show interview with NBC (watch above). This two-time Emmy nominee for “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” (2016-17) adds that she hopes to be the kind of judge that acts “would like to be friends with and who’s really, really cool.” Kemper joins regular panelists Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel for the third Judge Cuts episode of “Agt,” which airs Tuesday, July 30.

It’s Tuesday, which can only mean one thing: it’s time for another “America’s Got Talent” Golden Buzzer!
This time around, host Terry Crews got in on the dream-making by pushing his button for Detroit Youth Choir, a “community-based choir,” stated director Anthony White. “We have a lot of inner-city kids. Some of them have bad home situations or they can be in the street — there’s violence. We give them something positive to come and be a part of.” The singers put an original spin on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ “Can’t Hold Us” and had the new host in tears as he slammed his hand down on the Golden Buzzer. Watch the “Agt” performance video above.

During Tuesday’s audition episode, Melissa Arleth introduced her seven-month-old pet rat named Hanta to judges Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell. “I had some pet rats that I loved very much and I was working as a performer, so I started training my rats to do a couple of tricks,” she explained to them. “I trained them to do some more stuff, and they started taking over the show.” Watch the “Agt” performance video above.

Early in her career Carmen Carter was told that she was “too fat” to be a star, but now that she’s earned four “yes” votes from the “America’s Got Talent” judges, this viral sensation is having the last laugh. “You shouldn’t be discriminated against because of your sexual preference, your size, your color, your weight, none of that,” Carmen stated in her NBC interview (watch above). “We should take each other at face value. Everyone deserves a chance to show what they have and not feel like they’re not good enough to be a star, because I believe everybody is. If you have a talent, you should be able to go for it.”

“I’m back with a new talent that I want to share with people,” announced Sethward, who last season on “America’s Got Talent” auditioned as a caterpillar but now tried out as a giraffe. During Tuesday night’s episode, Simon Cowell was not so happy to Sethward again, having previously called his act one of “the worst” he’d ever seen. Hey, "America's Got Talent" fans. Tonight, June 11, 2019, episode 3 of this current 14th season did indeed air, and it featured more audition rounds. Of course, the judges: Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel were on hand. A lady named Marina Marzepa kicked off the auditions for tonight's episode. She's a dancer/contortionist. She was apparently on "So You Think You Can Dance" in 2018. She started off her routine with some ballet moves. Then she did some contemporary dancing. Afterwards, Gabrielle told Marina, "That was amazing! That was so strong and precise." Howie said, "You're a true artist." Julianne said, "You were strong, powerful yet graceful and elegant." Simon compared her to the Exorcist. Marina got 4 yeses from the judges. So, she's off to the next round. Next, a magician named Dom Chambers hit the stage. During his act, he used a paper bag to make glasses of beer appear and disappear.

Fourteen years ago Leon (now 84) and Edson (now 54) met each other and had dreams of performing their hand balancing act in front of a large audience, and that dream was finally realized during Tuesday night’s episode of “America’s Got Talent.” Before the Brazlians began their seemingly effortless routine, judge Julianne Hough commented that Leon, with his white hair and black glasses, resembled Ed Asner‘s old man character from Pixar’s “Up.” Unfortunately, Leon didn’t seem to know what film she was referring to, but he’ll have time to watch it between now and the Judge Cuts as they earned four “yes” votes. After watching ballerina/contortionist Marina Mazepa perform during Tuesday night’s episode of “America’s Got Talent,” judge Simon Cowell raved that her wild moves were “crazier” than “The Exorcist.” Simon bragged that the star of the 1973 supernatural horror film, Linda Blair, is “a very good friend” and that the director’s cut version was one of the “craziest things” he’d ever seen … until Marina’s performance. The 21-year-old old moved to Los Anglees to fulfill her dream of being a dancer, and things seem to be heading in the right direction since she received four “yes” votes from the “Agt” judges. Carmen Carter came to “America’s Got Talent” to prove a point — that no matter a singer’s age or size, their voice is the only thing that should matter. “You hear my voice, but you never know my name,” said the 55-year-old who works as a full-time background artist. When Carmen was starting out in the music business she was told she was “too fat,” which is why she slipped into the background for the rest of her career. During Tuesday night’s audition, Carmen stood front and center and belted out a cover of Inxs‘s “Never Tear Us Apart,” quickly earning herself four “yes” votes from the “Agt” judges. Season 14 of “America’s Got Talent” reaches the half point of the audition stage of the competition on June 11 with another two-hour episode showcasing the best (and worst) acts. In this phase of “Agt,” an act needs at least three of the four judges to give them a “yes” vote to advance to the next round. If at least two judges buzz the act, it is immediately eliminated.
While Gabrielle and Julianne are new to the panel (they replace Mel B and Heidi Klum), the format remains the same as it has for years. “America’s Got Talent” airs initially just on Tuesdays with these first six weeks devoted to the auditions that took place around the country. Then there will be four weeks of Judge Cuts beginning in mid July, followed by live shows in August and September.
