Antony Starr is perhaps the face of morally complex characters in today’s day and age. From The Boys to Banshee, complexity is something he carries in front of the camera like no one else. The darkness within a character takes a great amount of skill to exude and that is something the actor excels at. The patience and dedication it takes is what fans appreciate wholeheartedly.

While Starr isn’t typecasted in the role of a character battling his inner self through the darkness within him, there is no doubt that he plays the part perfectly. He may not be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Universe yet but he has shown through Homelander that a role in the franchises wouldn’t be an opportunity anyone would regret. As such, the possibility may be nigh.

The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths was the Arrowverse's sixth crossover event and aired across five parts from December 2019 - January 2020.
The story played out across episodes of Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, and featured plenty of fan-pleasing cameos. Those included Kevin Conroy as a live-action Batman, Brandon Routh's return as Superman, and Ezra Miller as The Flash (simpler times).
While it was made on a TV budget, Crisis on Infinite Earths received plenty of praise and delivered a much stronger take on the classic comic book story than this year's poorly-received animated movies.
Talking on his personal blog, Arrowverse architect Marc Guggenheim reflected on the event and confirmed there were once plans for the five-part story to receive a theatrical release.

Could The CW have one last Arrowverse crossover up its sleeve? Following remarks made by Tom Cavanagh at a convention over the weekend, TVLine has confirmed that the Flash vet will appear in the series finale of Superman & Lois, appropriately titled “It Went By So Fast.”
Cavanagh originally hoped to direct the pivotal episode, having previously helmed the Season 1 finale and Season 3 premiere, but the gig was already promised to frequent Superman & Lois director Gregory Smith. That’s when showrunner Todd Helbing got an idea, one that will leave fans theorizing for months to come.

Despite not being connected to the larger Arrowverse, ‘Superman & Lois’ is easily the best CW superhero show in terms of quality writing. The show did have its ups and downs, especially last year.
After Nexstar acquired CW and the network was bound to be restructured, ‘Superman & Lois’ survived the onslaught during which many shows were canceled. This led to some of the main cast being let go, fewer writers and the episode count was slashed compared to previous seasons. Now after several months of filming the last season of ‘Superman & Lois’ has wrapped filming, ready for the Fall 2024 release date.
Speaking at Fan Expo Philadelphia Tom Cavanagh revealed he is both directing and acting in the final season of ‘Superman & Lois.’

While ‘Superman & Lois’ remains distinct from the broader Arrowverse, it stands out as the CW’s top superhero series due to its strong writing. Despite facing challenges, including changes following Nexstar’s acquisition of CW, the show managed to survive restructuring while other series were canceled.
This resulted in some main cast members being released, fewer writers, and a reduced episode count compared to previous seasons. Now, after months of filming, the final season of ‘Superman & Lois’ has concluded production, gearing up for its Fall 2024 premiere.

Despite being set up in another universe, Superman & Lois is a thrilling tale of Earth’s mightiest DC hero and a world-renowned journalist who is also his love interest. After three successful seasons, the series will be coming to an end with its fourth and final season. Poised to have Lex Luthor as the chief villain, fans can hardly wait.
Superman & Lois
Originally slated to be part of the Arrowverse, the series will bring back one iconic The Flash actor in its series finale episode. While no other details have been revealed, the addition of the fan-favorite star can help bridge the gap between the Arrowverse and Superman & Lois.

Love or hate the Arrowverse, there's no denying that Tom Cavanagh's performance as the Reverse-Flash was hard to find fault with. As the years passed, The Flash diluted the character by having the actor play multiple versions of "Harrison Wells." However, in the suit, Cavanagh proved himself a truly formidable villain.
His story ended in the Scarlet Speedster's series, but we can look forward to at least one final appearance from the actor in the DC Universe.
Superman & Lois will conclude with its fourth and final season later this year, and unlike Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman, the show's creative team have received enough notice to craft what we hope will be a satisfying ending.
The question now is, will that ending include an appearance from Eobard Thawne?

The up-and-coming actress Daniela Melchior has taken her career leaping in the entertainment industry by scoring roles in two of the industry’s most dominating franchises, i.e., the DC Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Besides these, she also scored the role of Ellie, one of the main characters in the recently released Road House remake.
Daniela Melchior in Road House.
But if there’s one franchise she looks forward to returning to, that’s James Gunn’s Dcu. In fact, she even mentioned that she is most certainly “open” to reprising her iconic role from 2021’s critically-commended masterpiece, The Suicide Squad: That of Ratcatcher 2. However, that event seems inevitably unlikely because of one of Gunn’s decisions for the DC reboot.

James Gunn is now the co-ceo of DC Studios and is currently developing various projects to build up his new Dcu. Gunn is deeply passionate and wants to present a unique Dcu that will bring the brand back to form after a series of flops. He has already delivered two great projects in the Dcu with 2021’s The Suicide Squad and 2022’s Peacemaker.

Regardless of one’s opinions towards the Arrowverse, it was difficult to criticize Tom Cavanagh’s portrayal of Eobard Thawne / Reverse-Flash. He has even played multiple versions of Harrison Wells on the CW’s The Flash, which stars Grant Gustin in the lead.
Cavanagh recently said that he would be amenable to reprising his role as Reverse-Flash in James Gunn’s upcoming DC Universe. Well, the Guardians of the Galaxy director, 57, would have a good reason to bring the Canadian actor back to the role in the Dcu since the viewers praised his portrayal of Eobard Thawne.

Tom Cavanagh who played Reverse-Flash in the CW series The Flash, is now ready to jump ship to DC. The actor made his return to the CW show for its series finale and the actor recently revealed that he is willing to appear in James Gunn’s new DC universe.
Tom Cavanagh as Reverse Flash
Reverse Flash is one of the wonderful additions to the world of Barry Allen in CW, the fitting nemesis to the Speedster. However, as the show has reached the final end, new reports suggest that Cavanagh is not over playing the character.
Will Tom Cavanagh Join Dcu As Reverse Flash? Tom Cavanagh as Eobard Thawne a.k.a Reverse-Flash
James Gunn’s Dcu revamp created opportunities for many actors as he intends to change the entire atmosphere. The DC boss has already sidelined the mainline DC hero actors including Superman actor Henry Cavill and Batman star Ben Affleck from Snyderverse.

The Flash arrived on the CW as an antidote to the heavy, bleak world of Arrow. Our Scarlet Speedster was going to be a bright, upbeat superhero series and it was—at first. With each successive season, it grew bleaker and more chaotic as an overstuffed cast all demanded screentime and the writing staff never seemed to grasp that there were other villains than those connected to the Speed Force.
The 2022-23 television season brought us The Flash’s ninth and final season, providing a chance to give closure to the core characters. Tomorrow, Warner Home Entertainment releases The Flash: The Complete Ninth and Final Season.
Across the truncated season, everyone had a moment to shine, get their due, take a bow and move aside so the Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Nora West Allen (Candice Patton) center got to have the last word as they finally welcomed Nora to the preset.

Judging purely from the downward quality graph of its last few seasons and even the major portion of the final one, it feels like CW’s The Flash should have wrapped things up years ago. Even the most sincere fans of the series will acknowledge that poor writing and being overcrowded by unnecessary characters have absolutely destroyed any sort of significance the series ever had. It makes the realization all the more painful that the impeccable first two seasons of the series were trendsetting in superhero adaptations because they wore qualities like novelty, optimism, and hope on their sleeve. With the series finale releasing, the realization will dawn heavily on the fans who have invested themselves in the series for nine long years, as with the conclusion of the series, the last vestiges of the Arrowverse, the TV universe it was a part of, are gone in a flash too.

Now that The Flash, the current elder statesman of superhero television, has officially taken his last run, the obvious question is: What’s next? The Flash Season 9 Episode 13
It’s the end of an era. After nine seasons, over 180 episodes, half a dozen major network crossovers, and countless rogues, The CW’s The Flash has completed its final run (and most likely wrapped up the current incarnation of the DC TV universe as we know it along with it). Though the show’s shortened final season certainly had its issues—the random introduction of a third Snow sister instead of just giving Caitlin an actual story, way too much Cecile, the awkwardness of the “Chellegra” romance—the four-part series finale “A New World” did attempt to bring the story of The Flash full circle, resurrecting Rick Cosnett’s Eddie Thawne and using him to bring balance to the Speed Force; showing us the birth of Barry and Iris’ daughter, Nora; and expanding...

After nine seasons, The Flash crosses the finish line tomorrow night with “A New World, Part 4,” which sees Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his team taking on a threat that literally draws on their past foes for power. Since Central City has always been a safe place for friends of the show to return time and timeline again, of course fans should expect some callbacks. Key among them is Tom Cavanagh, who may be as integral to the Arrowverse as architect and exec producer Greg Berlanti. Not only has Cavanagh played (at our best count) nine characters on The Flash, but he has also appeared on and/or directed episodes of Supergirl, Batwoman, Superman & Lois, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) is getting a blast from the past in the February 3 episode of Blue Bloods. Tom Cavanagh is returning as Micky Patrick, Danny’s childhood friend and a former criminal, in “The Big Leagues.” He turns to Danny for help finding his missing fiancée. CBS has released a photo (above) offering a look at the guest spot. Cavanagh first appeared in Season 4’s “Ties That Bind,” during which Danny learned about Mickey’s ties to a major crime family in Florida. Though Danny didn’t want to believe it at first, he baited him into admitting as such on a recording by pretending he needed a fast way to make money (in exchange for the promise that his friend would be offered witness protection). With that recording of Mickey offering him money for sensitive NYPD information, Danny brought him in — after the two exchanged punches. Mickey...

It’s the end of an era. After the better part of a decade on air, The Flash season 9, currently set to go into production this Fall and premiere in early 2023, will mark the show’s end. It’s hard to imagine what a superhero television landscape will look like without this show, which has helped shape so many that came after it, thanks to its huge heart, bright tone, and empathetic storytelling.
With just 13 episodes, The Flash season 9 may have limited room to run, but that also means The CW’s flagship superhero property can still go out on its own terms, with a story that showcases just what this series has always done so well. Here are a few things we definitely need to see–and some we know aren’t exactly likely but we’re still hoping for anyway–in The Flash’s final season.

Corrective Measures, an odd mix of action, prison, science fiction and monster movies, opens with a parking garage execution gone wrong as a band of goons led by what appears to be a werewolf are wiped out by the vigilante known as Payback just so he can have the pleasure of killing their intended victim himself before the cops arrest him. He’s sent to prison, but not just any prison, he’s going to San Tiburon which seems to be this world’s answer to the MCU’s Vault. Only it’s run by a private company and Warden Devlin is as corrupt as any of the inmates.

Splicing X-Men and Suicide Squad shouldn’t really work, but director Sean Patrick O’Reilly adds a subtle layer of social commentary to the comic-book schlock in a distinctive debut
Based on Grant Chastain’s graphic novel, Corrective Measures is an unabashed splicing of X-Men and Suicide Squad. Something so derivative really shouldn’t work, yet its setting, within the confines of San Tiburon – a maximum-security prison for inmates with superpowers – corrals the story into something close to a brassily characterised ensemble drama, while restricting the action to occasional raucous outbreaks. Presumably done for budget reasons, it winds up a more distinctive film than it otherwise might be, and is presided over by Michael Rooker – inexplicably wearing a straw boater throughout – as the arrogant and conniving Warden Devlin.
We enter San Tiburon along with Payback (Dan Payne), a Bible-bashing meathead whose mission in life is hunting down “enhanced humans”; superpowered genetic...

At the time The Flash was renewed for a ninth season, showrunner Eric Wallace had already penned what he assumed was going to be a series finale. So, before the finale actually began filming, what all wound up being changed?
Wallace confirmed the season-ending change-up in a finale post mortem with TVLine, echoing that which multiple actors had shared throughout the season — that The Flash had been expected to end after eight seasons. But once leading man Grant Gustin closed a deal to continue Barry Allen’s journey, The CW ordered a Season 9, and Wallace and his team had to get to work!

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Flash‘s Season 8 finale, “Negative, Part 2.” So if you haven’t watched yet, maybe Chillblaine can hook you up with a containment unit like the one holding whatever Frost has become.] After staving off Armageddon in a five-part arc, only to lose Frost (Danielle Panabaker) and then almost lose Iris (Candice Patton), our boy Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) closed out Season 8 in a, well, flashy show of superpowers. Thankfully, he has the world’s greatest support staff on hand, so as Team Flash mobilized to take on the Negative Speed Force crew, Barry was able to eventually center himself, see how a lot of this was his own doing and literally overpower the Negative Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh). Like, to the death. At least that’s what showrunner Eric Wallace says. Here, he expands on taking this latest version of Thawne off the table for good, elevating Iris to the Queen status ...

In tonight’s Season 8 finale of The Flash, titled “Negative, Part Two,” the superhero otherwise known as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) once again finds himself at war with his longtime foe Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh), also confronting the prospect that he may have been tricked into killing Iris (Candice Patton).

If you were shocked following The Flash Season 8 Episode 19, we have some good news...
Candice Patton is not leaving the hit CW superhero drama.
If you watch The Flash online, you know that the most recent installment of the series seemingly sealed the fate of Patton's Iris West-Allen.
However, TV Line has confirmed Patton has closed a deal to return for The Flash Season 9.
Patton has been vocal about her future on the series not being set in stone, responding to a fan in April that she was "not quite sure" about her future beyond the current season.
The star shared a video later that month in which she used the caption, "That's a wrap on Iris West-Allen," with fans continuing to ponder what might become of the character.
The good news is that Patton is coming back, and it would really be a great time to give Iris bigger material.
