How you situate Sergio Leone’s epic, acerbic A Fistful of Dynamite within the filmmaker’s larger body of work just might depend on which title it bears when you watch it. The original Italian title, Giù la testa, is probably best rendered by the thematically appropriate Keep Your Head Down, but Leone insisted the film go out under the looser translation Duck, You Sucker! It’s a line that recurs several times throughout the film, one that Leone insisted was authentic American slang of the era, though clearly it isn’t any such thing.
The replacement title A Fistful of Dynamite attempts to link it with Leone’s earlier A Fistful of Dollars, but this one gets far darker and more serious than the more “innocent” tales of adventure that form the Dollars trilogy. Probably the most appropriate title was the one applied to it by the French: Once Upon a Time…...

More mysterious than ever, Sergio Leone’s ode to (condemnation of?) revolution is said to be the centerpiece of his three ‘Once Upon a Time’ movies linking western violence to the modern age of brutal politics and ruthless gangsterism. Crudeness rubs shoulders with sad, beautiful images as Leone takes on a theme he claimed not to like very much. The writers Donati and Vincenzoni show him the way, while James Coburn and Rod Steiger bring to life the non-narrative moments of what becomes a broad, mural-like epic.

Say what? There were originally not one, not two, but three female Rebel pilots in the finale battle in Return of the Jedi and they all got cut? *grrrr* From BuzzFeed: Meet the three unnamed female fighter pilots from Return of the Jedi. Two of these ladies were released with the avalanche of extras on the Star Wars Blu-ray and were originally part of the Rebel Squadrons fighting in the Battle of Endor. Both of them were A-Wing pilots. The younger pilot... even had a bit of dialogue. According to Star Wars Aficionado, her line "got it" was overdubbed with a male voice in post-production. Most interestingly, the second lady fighter pilot is elderly, leading one to wonder if she was a hardened lifelong rebel or a late joiner. Either way, it's one of the great untold stories of the series. The third Rebel fighter pilot was played by Vivienne Chandler,...

This first one actually did make the final cut, but her line "got it" was dubbed over by a man, before she was blown to bits by a Tie-Fighter seconds later. This older lady was also cut. Apparently the reason was that seeing female characters die in fiery explosions would have been a bit much for audiences of the time. Evidently seeing them fed to giant monsters after failing to please their master was fine. Footage of both of those gals can be found in the Original Trilogy Blu-ray extras, but now thanks to Buzzfeed we know there was also a third female pilot that ended up on the cutting room floor. French actress Vivienne Chandler even had more than a page of dialog to go with her scenes. Personally I don't know what people are complaining about - wasn't there also that Sy Snootles chick that sang in Jabba's Palace,...
