This Christmas Eve, BBC One brings a festive treat with “Not Going Out” at 10:00 Pm. In this special episode, the affable Lee pulls out all the stops to craft the perfect Christmas for his family, aligning with Lucy’s desire to embrace charity during the season. Their goodwill extends to inviting Wilfred, a lonely pensioner from a nearby care home, to share in their Christmas dinner.
However, the holiday spirit takes an unexpected turn as they learn that Wilfred is prohibited from consuming alcohol. Lee’s aspirations for the ideal Christmas face a hiccup, leading to comical situations and the trademark humor that “Not Going Out” is known for. As the family navigates the challenges of accommodating their non-drinking guest, viewers can anticipate a blend of laughter, heartwarming moments, and the quirky charm that defines the series. Warning: This contains spoilers for Not Going Out
Back in 2015, during a BBC Breakfast interview about series seven of Not Going Out, presenter Bill Turnbull asked Lee Mack: “Did you ever imagine when you first got that pilot that you’d get seven series?”
“I didn’t think we’d even get a series,” Mack answers incredulously, explaining that even going from script to a pilot episode felt like “the biggest hurdle”.
And yet, eight years later (17 since the show began in 2006), Not Going Out has now almost doubled its series from seven to 13, still regularly pulling in audiences of over four million, with the newest series arriving on BBC One on Friday 23rd June at 9pm. As ever, the show will focus on Lee Mack as a fictionalised version of himself, alongside his landlady-turned-wife and sparring partner Lucy, and their eventful and often farcical life together.

It’s nearly that time of year again, my favourite time of year…..no not Halloween! I’m talking about Christmas! And despite its slightly unusual title Await Further Instructions is indeed a Christmas horror film.
Taking place over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day you might expect plenty of cheer but Await Further instructions isn’t the happiest of movies. For a start, the family aren’t the closest. In particular the son, played by Sam Gittins (Howl), who hasn’t seen his family for a number of years but his current girlfriend (Neerja Naik) pushes him to see them for the holiday so she can meet them. It doesn’t take long for her to regret this. His family aren’t exactly the nicest of people. The father...

A British family is confronted with their own worst fears during the holidays. Locked in their own house, they must rise to the occasion or cave in to the pressures of conformity. In Await Further Instructions, the Milgram family has gathered, reluctantly, for the Christmas holiday. After several years away, eldest son Nick (Sam Gittins) has returned with his Middle-Eastern girlfriend Annji (Neerja Naik). Nick's mother Beth (Abigail Cruttenden) is welcoming, but her warmth is countered by the chilly reaction of Nick's father Tony (Grant Masters), a stiff, overbearing man with anger issues who still harbors tremendous ill will toward his son's rejection of his values. Nick's grandfather is even worse, a nasty and smug fellow who makes snide remarks...

"Someone's locked us in." Dark Sky Films has debuted an official trailer for a freaky new sci-fi horror-thriller titled Await Further Instructions, made by filmmaker Johnny Kevorkian. The film's plot is about an argumentative family that gets together on Christmas. When they wake up on Christmas Day, they discover their house is covered with black material, and when they turn on the TV it says: "Stay Indoors and Await Further Instructions." That's a wicked cool idea for a horror film, something out of "Black Mirror" or "The Twilight Zone". Alas, this doesn't look as good as I'd hoped, a bit too weird, but I'm still very curious about it. The film's cast includes David Bradley, Abigail Cruttenden, Holly Weston, Sam Gittins, Grant Masters, Neerja Naik, and Kris Saddler. This is definitely worth a look, for that concept alone. Here's the first trailer (+ posters) for Johnny Kevorkian's Await Further Instructions, from...

In this round-up we have two exclusive excerpts from horror-thrillers. First up is Neil Gibson's graphic novel Twisted Dark Vol. 5, followed by Vaughn Entwistle's The Angel of Highgate. Also: five new images from Await Further Instructions.
Twisted Dark Volume Five: "Twisted Dark is a series of interconnected psychological thrillers, perfect for fans of twist endings and comics that reveal more on the second reading. Each story stands alone, but the more you read, the more connections you see between the characters. There are over 100 characters that appear more than once and one of the joys of reading is when you spot a reference that you know others will have missed. A rotating team of talented artists draw the stories, with each style offering something new."
Twisted Dark Vol. 5 will be released by TPub Comics in February. To read the first half of Twisted Dark Volume 1, visit: http://goo.gl/Zo...

British actor Sean Bean still believes "in love" after his fourth divorce but is adamant he won't walk down the aisle again.
The Lord of the Rings star separated from his fourth wife Georgina Sutcliffe last summer and the pair officially divorced in December.
The split marked Bean's fourth failed marriage after unions with his high school sweetheart Debra James, actress Melanie Hill and Abigail Cruttenden.
Bean has now accepted he is not compatible with marriage - although he still hopes to fall in love again.
He says, "Of course I believe in love despite four divorces. There is nobody who doesn't believe in love. But marriage? That fits some people, but obviously not me."...

Sean Bean is getting divorced for the fourth time. The "Lord of the Rings" actor's wife Georgina Sutcliffe submitted a petition to the High Court in London, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the end of their two-year marriage.
Sean and Georgina, 32, have had a stormy relationship. Their wedding was called off 24 hours before the event in January 2008 for "personal reasons" but then went ahead weeks later.
In July 2009, the 51-year-old actor was briefly arrested after Georgina accused him of assault, before she asked police to drop the charges. The actress later downplayed the incident saying, "Everything is Ok. Sean and I are at home together enjoying the sunshine. He was arrested. Everything was blown out of proportion. Sean is fine and I'm fine. There's no problem between us."
In March this year, Sean denied divorce rumors saying, "Things are more settled. There will be no more divorce."
