Energy company Agl is bringing back the stars of its long running TV campaign in a PR stunt to celebrate the company’s 175th birthday.
Airing in 1979 and running for 13 years the Agl Flame Girl dancers appeared in TVCs performing a ‘living flame ballet’.
The PR push is being executed by Ppr, which will reunite the dancers for the first time at a breakfast in Sydney on Thursday. The first part of the PR campaign saw the brand issue a public callout to find the 12 dancers.
Appearing will be five of the dancers: Janet Addison, Sheree da Costa, Kathy Chard, Jennifer Barry-Knox and Glenda Percival who were also members of the Sydney Dance Company.
