- Son of Josef Danegger and brother of Mathilde Danegger.
- Versatile Austrian character actor and opera singer. Began his career well into middle-age. He enjoyed long residencies at Vienna's Burgtheater (1905-13) and at the Münchner Kammerspielen (1934-1939) and acted regularly in films from 1932, often as porters, waiters, postal workers or tradesmen, occasionally as noblemen.
- The actor Theodor Danegger began his acting career at the theater,only at the age of 41 he made his film debut ( with an exception of a small role in a movie in 1919) with "So ein Mädel vergisst man nicht" (1932).
- Theodor Danegger became a very busy actor from the 40's he he was active as an actor till to his death.
- He was the son of actor and director Josef Danegger (1865-1933) and brother of actress Mathilde Danegger (1903-1988).
- After the end of the second world war, he had soon new small film engagements, first in Austrian, and by 1949, also often in West German productions.
- Theodor Danegger was arrested temporarily because of homosexual acts. during the shooting of the movie Der weiße Traum (1943), because of homosexual acts.
- Danegger died in Vienna in 1959 and was buried at the Zentralfriedhof in Vienna.
