George and Cindy Anthony
The murder of three-year-old Caylee Anthony continues to make news 15 years after the child’s body was recovered in 2008. Caylee’s mom, Casey, was back in the news in 2022 with the release of the three-part limited series Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies which featured interviews with the acquitted accused murderer. In the special, Casey accuses her father of killing Caylee and then staging her death. Casey continues to claim her father molested her and suggested he may also have molested her daughter.
Casey’s parents, George and Cindy, have had enough and are fighting back with their own special, Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test. The two-hour special is hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Tony Harris (CNN Newsroom w/Tony Harris) and will air on A&e and Lifetime on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 9pm Et/Pt. HBO Max has canceled “FBoy Island” — the reality dating series ran for two seasons.
Hosted by Nikki Glaser, the series followed three women as they chose a potential boyfriend from a pool of 24 men by trying to identify which contestants were “f-boys,” who were there only to have a good time, and which were “nice guys” genuinely searching for love.
The cancellation doesn’t come as a shock. The status of much of HBO Max’s programming has appeared to be up in the air since the closing of the Warner Bros. Discovery merger in April. This has been especially true of unscripted content, since the Discovery side of the business has come with its own prolific slate of unscripted shows. Those series in production on the Warner Bros. side seem to have created redundancies incompatible with CEO David Zaslav’s intense cost-cutting strategy. Zaslav has repeatedly emphasized a goal...

HBO Max has released the trailer for “FBoy Island,” a new reality dating series hosted by comedian and actress Nikki Glaser.
The series will follow three women who move to a tropical island with 24 single men — 12 of whom are “nice guys” looking for love, and 12 who are self-proclaimed “FBoys,” looking for… not love. In fact, to throw in a twist, there’s money on the line and the “FBoys” have admitted to producers that they’re only there to compete for cash.
The women will navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a real love connection. By the finale, the “nice guys” and “FBoys” will be revealed and audiences will finally see who the women end up choosing.

Hot girl summer, meet FBoy July. From showrunner Sam Dean, the romantic mastermind behind Love Is Blind and 12 Dates of Christmas, comes a hilarious new twist on reality TV dating series: Fboy Island. The new HBO Max series follows three single ladies looking for love amongst 24 seemingly eligible bachelors. The only issue? Half of them are self-proclaimed "F--k Boys" who are proudly there for the wrong reasons. Nakia, Cj Franco and Sarah Emig seek out their...

HBO Max released the official trailer for the upcoming reality dating series “Fboy Island,” which will premiere on July 29.
Hosted by Nikki Glaser, the series follows three women, Nakia Renee, Cj Franco and Sarah Emig, who move to a tropical island where they’re joined by 24 men. Half of the men are “nice guys” also looking for a real relationship, while the others are self-proclaimed “f-boys” competing for a cash prize. By the finale, all will be revealed — who is a nice guy, who is an “f-boy” and who will the women ultimately choose. The series is a social experiment that asks the age-old question: can “f-boys” truly reform or do nice guys always finish last?

2020 will almost certainly go down as the year reality dating shows went too far. So, naturally, HBO Max is offering one more just in time for the holiday season featuring snow-covered lakes, cozy winter clothing and drama.
The winter-themed “12 Dates of Christmas” hails from “Love Is Blind” executive producer Sam Dean and features three “hopelessly romantic singles” as they journey to meet that special someone to bring home for the holidays at a fairytale castle in Austria. “Insecure” star Natasha Rothwell narrates the series, which promises magical wintery dates “from ugly sweater parties and an intriguing masquerade ball to après-ski activities.”
The first three episodes will premiere on the streaming service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, with three more to follow on Dec. 3 and the final two on Dec. 10.

Daybreak season 2 is not yet assured, but thanks to some insights from the show’s producers we have some ideas of what might happen.
Daybreak has taken Netflix subscribers by storm with its unique mix of fourth-wall breaking storytelling, over-the-top conflicts, and well-crafted story arcs for its characters, and the show seems destined for renewal. But until we get news of a Daybreak season 2, we can only speculate on what might be next for the post-apocalyptic teen dramedy. Fortunately, executive producers Aron Eli Coliete and Jeff Fierson helped us make some predictions about what could happen.
In season one, Daybreak explored a number of characters’ perspectives on life in the Mad Max future, especially Josh Wheeler’s. But as the finale came into sight, one important point of view was missing: Sam Dean’s. The bombshell final episode not only reveals Sam's fate, but gives...

Decades of high school stories have been built on the idea that rules are made to be broken. So it’s no surprise that “Daybreak,” the new Netflix series following the teen survivors of a nuclear blast, sets out to subvert not only some of the well-trodden standards of the subgenre but the expectations it sets up for itself.
Based on Brian Ralph’s comics series, this adaptation from co-creators Aron Eli Coleite and Brad Peyton imagines an apocalyptic aftermath where Glendale High School students have carved up East Los Angeles into territorial pockets. The cheerleaders, the 4-h club, and the athletes are just a handful of tribes who’ve staked out their own domain in an irradiated landscape. Adults in this “Daybreak” world are either dead or have become ghoulies, zombie-brained walkers doomed to repeat their last innocuous pre-explosion thoughts for the rest of time.

This spoiler-free Daybreak review is based on viewing of the first five episodes.
Every show should be judged based on its success in entertaining the audience for which it was intended, and Daybreak, as a post-apocalyptic teen dramedy, will doubtlessly please those who enjoy a bit of fourth wall breaking narration and exaggerated iterations of high school cliques in survival mode. The logic behind the premise that a biological weapon killed most adults and turned others into zombie-like “ghoulies” will quickly be seen as unimportant simply because the characters themselves are compelling, particularly the show’s protagonists Josh (Colin Ford), Wesley Fists (Austin Crute), and Angelica (Alyvia Alyn Lind).

I’ve got a great new trailer to share with you for a super fun new post-apocalyptic coming-of-age comedy adventure series called Daybreak. The series is based on the graphic novel by Brian Ralph and tells a story where teens are the only survivors in a Ghoulie infested post-apocalyptic world. It may look a little strange and weird, but it also looks like a blast!
Daybreak is described as “a genre-bending series and subversive dark comedy” and the story “finds 17-year-old high school outcast Josh searching for his missing girlfriend Sam in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. You thought your four years of high school were hard? Try getting through it after a nuclear blast basically wipes out the planet on the night of Homecoming. Netflix's latest coming of age story Daybreak follows an eclectic group of survivors in a treacherous post-apocalyptic world full of hormones and vicious tribes kicking ass as they figure out this whacky thing called life.
It's as if Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Mad Max had a baby, which is appropriate considering Matthew Broderick stars as Glendale High School's Principal Michael Burr, alongside Colin Ford as our sassy young protagonist Josh Wheeler; Sophie Simnett as Sam Dean; Austin Crute as Wesley Fists; Alyvia Alyn Lind as Angelica Green; Cody Kearsley as Turbo Bro Jock; Jeanté Godlock as Mona Lisa; and Gregory Kasyan as Eli Cardashyan. Watch the trailer above, and get ready for the Battle Royale when Daybreak drops on Oct.

It’s funny because I grew up in Glendale, CA and this setting looks nothing like it. But, it’s all in good fun and obviously a very fictionalized version of Glendale.

Netflix is adapting post-apocalyptic high school comedy (yes) Daybreak into a TV series. Here is everything you need to know.
High school can be a rough time in any young person's life. Last thing they need is the apocalypse to complicate things.
Well that's exactly what's going to happen to the students of Glendale High School is Netflix's new apocalyptic action-comedy-drama (an ApActComDram if you will), Daybreak. Deadline was the first to report that Netflix has ordered Daybreak, a live-action series based on a comic by the same name from Brian Ralph
Daybreak will tell the story of high school outcast Josh searching for his missing girlfriend amidst a post-apocalyptic world. He will have to navigate through various factions of Mad Max-ified high school castes and zombie-like creatures known as "ghoulies."
Aron Eli Coilete (Star Trek: Discovery) and Brad Payton (Rampage) will produce the series.

Despite their track records for dying and going to hell, being possessed by demons and being beat as often as they come out on top (personally...their record of protecting others is much better than what they do for themselves), we would trust them with our lives.
But there are so many times the two of them are separated,...
