The creative team behind Avengers: Infinity War has leveled on Doctor Strange’s stroke of genius.
Now that the McU epic is available digitally (Blu-ray and DVD on August 14th), budding McU scholars have combed through every inch of the commentary track searching for clues and other scraps of intel relating to what is undoubtedly Marvel’s biggest movie yet.
Their quest has uncovered all sorts of wonderful trinkets, such as Thanos and Gamora’s dysfunctional relationship and the reason why Groot was able to lift Stormbreaker, a weapon forged from the light of a dying star that’s capable of killing Marvel’s Mad Titan – providing it’s used correctly, of course.
And now, Joe and Anthony Russo, along with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, have circled back to discuss the moment when Doctor Strange strategically places the Time Stone amongst the stars in an effort to hide it from Thanos.

I've got a cool animatic for you to watch that features an scene that was cut from the airport battle sequence in Captain America: Civil War. That scene focuses on a fight between Captain America and Black Widow. It's actually a great little scene that would have been cool to see brought to life in the movie. The animatic comes from Darrin Denlinger, who offers the following caption with the video:
"Small animatic beat I did from the Airport Battle in Captain America: Civil War. Edited and sound designed by Coral D'Alessandro."
It's fun to see the previsualizations of action scenes like this. It gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how the ideas for these elaborate fight sequences come together in the early stages of film production.
So why was the scene cut? My guess is because Black Widow steals Cap's shield, and after that already happened with Spider-Man it...

Captain America: Civil War is one of only two movies to gross over $1 billion at the worldwide box office (the other being Zootopia) this year, and while Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange stand a very good chance of being financial hits, chances are that they won’t be able to reach that benchmark.
With Civil War‘s theatrical run nearing an end, fans are understandably beginning to get excited about the upcoming Blu-ray release of the movie. Personally, we’re hoping that the special features are going to be as awesome as the animatic above – which comes our way via Marvel Studios storyboard artist Darrin Denlinger.
In it, we see a deleted scene from the movie as Captain America comes to blows with Black Widow during that incredible airport “splash page” sequence. However, before you get too excited about seeing this in live-action as a deleted scene on the Blu-ray,...

Captain America: Civil War featured almost countless fight scenes between the members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but one showdown we didn't get to see took place between #TeamCap and #TeamIronMan members Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff. It's a good job then that an animatic (by Marvel Studios storyboard artist Darrin Denlinger) has surfaced which offers up a look at how it would have gone. Was this one fight too many or cut because Black Widow shortly after betrayed her team for Steve? Who knows, but seeing the fan-favourite hero wield the shield would have been very cool. Below are additional animatic featuring extended versions of Bucky going on the run. They both provide a fascinating insight into how these sequences were dreamed up and what made it to the screen. Hopefully more content like this will find its way online as we get near to the Blu-ray release. Liked this?...

As I was saying, storyboard artist Darrin Denlinger supplied Film Sketchr with some great Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer storyboards of unused scenes, and today Darrin sent over storyboards of scenes that appeared in the film, but were tweaked from his original drawings. In most cases, budget concerns forced the more spectacular elements to get the axe. Boo! The set of images are of the first wedding scene. In the theatrical version Silver Surfer's presence is detected and all hell breaks loose, such as a helicopter crashing on the top of the Baxter Building - where the wedding is taking place. Sue uses her super-powers to stop the copter from harming her and her guests, then The Thing rips the tails off the copter to stop the blades from harming his Scandalously-blind girlfriend. In the storyboards below, this scene is a bit different as military soldiers/snipers are shown protecting the event,...

Professional storyboard artist, Darrin Denlinger, has sent Film Sketchr some interesting storyboards he created for Tim Story's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. They're interesting because they depict scenes that did not take place in the film. The first two images below reveal scenes that were going to take place at Dr. Doom's castle in Latveria in which his Doombots were gonna battle the Fantastic Four. The third image includes a scene with the Fantasticar. It would've taken place during the climax. Yes, the vehicle did appear in the film, but it didn't have much involvement in the final battle. The final image is of a rescue mission that would've included The Thing wearing a custom-fit scuba outfit. Yeah, I'm not so sure about that idea either. Still, it's interesting see. You can see more images for these scenes by clicking here. Catch a wave of "terrific adventure...
