Decided to pursue an acting career after seeing a production of Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot" at Los Angeles Pierce Junior College. Doubleday was working for the U.S. Postal Service at the time.
Worked in industrial film and in local theater productions before going on to act in films and television.
Lives in Los Angeles with his family, and teaches acting
