- Haldane Douglas was born on August 13, 1892 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Haldane was an art director, known for For Whom the Bell Tolls (1943), Fly-By-Night (1942) and Sharpshooters (1938). Haldane died on May 26, 1980 in Orange County, California, USA.
- Architect, painter, etcher and printer. First studied art in Pittsburgh, later furthering his education in Paris under Andre Lhote (1926-1928). Lectured at the Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. Joined 20th Century Fox in the 1930's, under contract as full art director from 1941 to 1947.
