Comcast-owned Sky has released the first trailer for its upcoming documentary series about the Kardshian-Jenner clan.
Titled “House of Kardashian,” the three part docu-series promises to delve into the lives and legacies of Kris Jenner and her brood by speaking to some of the people closest to them — including Jenner’s ex-spouse Caitlyn Jenner and longtime family friend Joe Francis (of “Girls Gone Wild” fame) – as well as getting access to previously unseen archival footage of the family before they became famous.
Unlike their self-titled series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and its successor “The Kardashians,” none of the family had any editorial control over the documentary, which promises to be explosive.
In the first trailer, Caitlyn Jenner reveals: “Kimberly calculated from the beginning, ‘How do I become famous?’” while Francis tells the camera: “The sex tape was a means to an end. It was to create a controversy.

Will Smith has mostly played good guys or heroes in the many films that he’s led. But the megastar has very rarely portrayed a villain, which he once shared was an intentional decision on his part.
Will Smith’s villains needed to have a message Will Smith | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Smith’s movie success was carefully crafted in the beginning. While enjoying a successful run on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smith already had a goal in mind in becoming a top movie star. To do this, he and his manager studied the top 10 grossing movies of all time back then.
“We realized that 10 out of 10 had special effects. Nine out of 10 had special effects with creatures. Eight out of 10 had special effects with creatures and a love story,” Smith once told Time.
But after Smith achieved the success he wanted, he began wanting to focus less on box-office hits and more on variety.

Amazon Prime Video has confirmed its latest sports doc will follow Newcastle United, with Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story indie 72 Films producing with Lorton Entertainment.
The as-yet-untitled series exploring the Saudi-owned club will not form part of Prime Video’s All or Nothing series, which has so far spotlighted Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Cameras have been following Newcastle all season, one in which they are likely to finish higher in the Premier League than they have for years after they were acquired by a consortium including the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which attracted much controversy. They are chasing qualification for the Champion’s League and reached their first cup final for 24 years, which they lost to Manchester United.
72 Films, which also makes the All or Nothing docs, is partnering with Lorton, the producer behind Disney+’s upcoming Wagatha Christie doc.

David Fincher and Joe Penhall's Mindhunter is one of my favorite series of the year so far and I'm excited to report that it has been renewed for a second season!
Netflix made the announcement on the show's official Twitter account with a video that you can watch below. Mindhunter was such an intense series and the ending really left me hanging, so I'm so happy that the story of these characters will continue with Season 2.
The series has an amazingly talented cast that includes Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, Hannah Gross, and newcomer Cameron Britton, who amazingly portrays serial killer Ed Kemper.

The Silence of the Lambs and Night of the Living Dead, two bona fide horror gems, are officially joining the Criterion Collection.
Each film classic will receive a 4K restoration, along with scores of special features, which will be available from February 13th, 2018. Now how’s that for a Valentine’s Day treat?
On a more somber note, news of this re-release arrives at a difficult time for the horror community: Silence of the Lambs director Jonathan Demme passed away back in April, while George A. Romero, the undisputed king of zombies, died in July. Indeed, it was difficult losing two legendary filmmakers in the space of three months, but this posthumous recognition ensures their finest achievements are ushered into the pantheon of great cinema.

[The following contains spoilers from “Mindhunter” Season 1.]
On Netflix’s 1970s-era “Mindhunter,” Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) takes what he’s learned from serial killers and applies it to a man who had not yet committed a crime. Principal Wade (Marc Kudisch) may have turned the Shady Lane Elementary’s testing scores around, but a disturbing pattern has arisen in which he offers to tickle the students’ feet “as punishment” and then gives them some change afterwards. Or, as Debbie (Hannah Gross) puts it, “tickles for nickels.”
Although certain teachers and parents complain, nothing is done. A concerned teacher has Holden look into the situation, and when a disturbed Holden insists Wade stop the practice, the principal flat-out refuses. When the school board calls Holden though to get his assessment of the principal, he passive aggressively says, “I’m not not saying your principal will become a sexual deviant,” which clearly means he thinks he will be. Wade loses his job.

I'm currently in the middle of watching David Fincher's Netflix series Mindhunter and it's one hell of a great show and absolutely fascinating. The story follows a couple of FBI agents in 1977 who are studying the minds of serial killers so that they help catch them faster because, “How do we get ahead of crazy if we don’t know how crazy thinks?”
The series is based on the 1996 nonfiction novel by Mark Olshaker and John Douglas‘ called "Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit." Even though it's a mostly fictionalized series, it is inspired by real-life events.
Thanks to series composer Jason Hill, we've learned what Season 2 is going to focus on. While talking to Billboard, he revealed that the second season will examine the Atlanta child murders. If you're not familiar with this tragic event it was a string of 28 murders, mostly children and adolescents,...

Have you ever been curious about what makes a serial killer tick? In the new trailer for “Mindhunter,” the shadowy new Netfix project from David Finchr and Charlize Theron based off the book of the same name by famed FBI agent John Douglas, agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) are on the search to find out why serial killers do what they do. Set to “Psychokiller” by the Talking Heads, in this trailer, we get to see Ford and Tench meet their first interviewee: Edmund Kemper, also known as the “Coed Killer” for picking up hitch-hiking college.

Netflix has released a new teaser trailer for David Fincher's upcoming series Mindhunter. The series is set in 1979 and it follows two FBI agents, Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), who are trying to understand the mindset of serial killers.
In this teaser, right before Holden goes to meet with a serial killer, Bill scares the shit out of him when telling him what will happen if he brings a gun into the room with him when meeting with the killer. He tells him that the killer will take the gun, kill him, and then have sex with his face. It's a very dark kind of humor, which is something that Fincher is great at.
The series is an adaptation of the 1996 nonfiction novel by Mark Olshaker and John Douglas‘ called "Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit." I've provided a description of that book below the teaser.

It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that David Fincher is still mining this territory. I mean, the man did bring us Se7en, Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac, Gone Girl and "House of Cards," a roster chalk-full of bonafide psychopaths in one way or another.

Late last year, we learned that David Fincher and Charlize Theron were teaming up for a Netflix series called Mindhunter. Fincher has cast Holt McCallany (Lights Out) in the lead role; the actor previously worked with Fincher on films such as Alien 3 and Fight Club.
Mindhunter is based on the 1996 book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit by former special agent John Douglas and Mark Olshaker. Along with fellow serial killer investigator in the behavioral science unit, FBI agent Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff), Tench interviews serial killers to help them solve current murders.
