This Thursday in the Arrow fall finale, two big reveals threatened to cripple the team — from the outside and from within.
But first, some post-wedding revelry, in the form of a formal celebration of Mayor Queen’s marriage to Felicity Smoak. There, we got to check in on parents-of-the-bride Donna and The Calculator Noah, who seem to be back in each other’s lives (off-screen); see that Thea and William are the cutest aunt/nephew combo ever; and groan was lovelorn Curtis laid into a drunken ramble that questioned if love truly exists. Welcome to the Arrowverse, Mr. Ricardo Diaz, aka The Dragon. Now, would you kindly tell us what dastardly plans you have in store for Star City?
"Promises Kept," Dragon's (Kirk Acevedo) debut episode, didn't give us a whole lot to go on. There were a few shocks of course -- Diaz is Diggle's (David Ramsey) supplier! Diaz is attempting to get his drug approved by the Fda! -- but frankly, the twists left us a little off-kilter. So, let's take a look at what the future might hold for Star City's latest villain.

Fans of Michael Emerson‘s turns on Person of Interest, Lost and/or The Practice may get a hint — but only a hint — of his previous TV work when he arrives to make mayhem on The CW’s Arrow this fall.
As trumpeted at the San Diego Comic-Con last month, Emerson is set to recur during Season 6 (premiering Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9/8c) in an undisclosed mystery role. During TVLine’s Fall Preview Q&A with co-showrunner Wendy Mericle, it was confirmed that Emerson will be playing one of at least two main threats to Oliver Queen, another being Fringe alum...

Arrow Season 5 was a return to form for the long-running DC superhero series on The CW. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) finally embraced his role as leader, completing a five year transition from murderous vigilante to heroic superhero Green Arrow. A big reason for the show's resurgence last season was the re-establishment of a grounded, gritty, street-level storyline that pitted Queen against Prometheus (Josh Segarra), a fighter of comparable skill who was constantly one step ahead of Team Arrow.
By abandoning the failed magic and mysticism aspects of Seasons 3 and 4, Arrow focused on hard-hitting, often incredibly brutal hand-to-hand fighting last season, which is a hallmark of this show. Seriously, outside of Netflix's Daredevil, is there any better fight choreography on TV? So what can we expect out of Arrow Season 6? We already know that the big bad will be Richard Dragon, an absolutely vicious martial artist with deep roots in the DC comics canon.

Well, we can finally put a face to one of Arrow season 6’s big bads, as the much talked about Richard Dragon has been cast. Technically, the character’s real name is Ricardo Diaz, but he went by the pseudonym of “Richard Dragon” in the New 52 comics, also being the son of the man to originally bear that name (more on that in a moment).
As it turns out, Kirk Acevedo (Kingdom, Insidious: Chapter 4) has found himself in the role. But before we proceed any further, let’s take a look at the character description provided by Deadline:
A hardened ex-con recently released from prison for crimes he didn’t commit, Ricardo Diaz (Acevedo) is bent on taking over Star City’s criminal underworld. A master in hand to hand combat, honed by years of life on the street, Diaz has yet to meet a foe he can’t take down.

Fringe alum Kirk Acevedo is set to clash with Arrow, as a version of the DC Comics baddie Richard Dragon.
As reported by our sister site Deadline, Acevedo has been cast as Ricardo Diaz, an ex-con who is set on taking control of Star City’s criminal underworld. Based on DC Comics’ Richard Dragon, Diaz is described as a master in hand-to-hand combat.
Previously, Arrow announced at the San Diego Comic-Con that Person of Interest‘s Michael Emerson would recur during Season 6 as a mystery character (perhaps Helix founder Cayden James?).

In the past week, we sure have learned a lot about what to expect from Arrow season 6, whether it be the latest Black Canary’s new look or hearing that Ricardo Diaz/Richard Dragon will likely be the big bad for the coming year. Speaking of which, more information has come to light suggesting that he won’t be alone.
By that, I mean we could very well be looking at a small screen translation of “the Long Bow Hunters,” a group that, aside from Diaz, also includes the likes of the Clock King, Brick, Count Vertigo, Red Dart and Killer Moth. And knowing how most of those characters have already shown up in the Arrowverse, it’s not outside the realm of possibility to introduce the others – or put a couple already known to viewers in their place.

After the most recent season finale of Arrow left our heads spinning, we’ve been looking forward to hearing who’ll be the next villain to pick up the ball after Prometheus, thus giving Oliver Queen and company countless more headaches. Well, we did learn yesterday to expect Ricardo Diaz/Richard Dragon to likely be the one to do so, but according to TV Guide Magazine’s Comic-Con Special, he may be bringing some friends along for the ride.
As you know, Diaz united a group called “the Long Bow Hunters” in the comics that consisted of the Clock King, Brick, Count Vertigo, Red Dart and Killer Moth. So, when executive producer Marc Guggenheim said the following, he did nothing but corroborate the latest industry chatter:
“We’re not really prepared to talk about who the big bad of the season is yet. It’s not necessarily a safe bet...
