The film composer Bernhard Eichhorn finished a study for music and dramatics, afterwards he joined the Acadomy of musical art in Munich.
At the age of 25 he took over the function of a bandmaster at the Bayerische Landesbühne, it followed other engagements in the same function.
His first composition for a movie came already in 1931 into being for "Im Bann der Berge" (1931) but his real film career as a movie composer began in 1940.
Since the end of the 60s he worked exclusively for television and he continued this engagements in the 70s as well.
In 1934 he became music director in Breslau where he worked for the next ten years.
