Towards the end of his career, he returned to his native Atlanta,
Georgia, where he appeared in many locally produced stage plays, as
well as in Atlanta stopovers of national touring companies of plays.
He was also a stage director, noted for his work at Gregory Peck's Actor's Playhouse in La Jolla, California, and the Westport Country Playhouse, Connecticut.
