Ferrer wrote and co-produced the 1989 NBC prime time special "Destined
to Live," dealing with the recovery of 100 breast cancer patients. The
special won an Emmy nomination and a Humanitas Award.
Survived by husband, Stephen Goldsmith, a post-production exec, a son and a
daughter.
Receiving her master's degree from Cornell University, she worked as an
executive for the Disney Channel, was director of foreign TV production
at Warner Bros. and worked in the foreign dubbing departments of both
studios.
