Stars: Alfie Allen, Hannah Tointon, Christian Bassington, Jack Gordon | Written by Paul Davis, Paul Fischer | Directed by Paul Davis
Paul Davis, director of the fantastic An American Werewolf in London documentary Beware the Moon and the Superb short film Him Indoors, returns to narrative storytelling with his second short The Body, this time working with producer and co-writer Paul Fischer, another slice of quintessentially British horror that, as with Davis’ previous short, mixes comedy and horror to great effect. If there’s one thing Davis knows it’s black comedy…
[The Body is] the tale of a murderer (Allen) who uses the cover of Halloween night to transport his latest victim from the scene of the crime to his final resting place. Wrapping the body in tarpaulin and dragging it through the busy streets of London as a bloody Halloween prop, all goes to plan until an old school mate (Brassington) recognises the...

Last week, The CW unveiled their newest reality series, Re-Modeled. Like America's Next Top Model, it revolves around the world of modeling. But will it last more than 10 years, like Antm, or be quickly cancelled instead?
Re-Modeled follows veteran player Paul Fisher as he attempts to bring hundreds of smaller agencies together from around the world to form The Network and change the modeling industry.
In its first week on the air, Re-Modeled attracted a minuscule 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and just 670,000 total viewers. This was easily The CW's lowest ratings of the season. Not only was it beaten by the broadcast networks but Re-Modeled was easily trounced by cable shows Hardcore Pawn, Dance Moms, Dirty Jobs, Shipping Wars, and many more.
Interestingly, this wasn't the lowest rated original airing in The CW's history. The...

The CW is kicking off "Remodeled," which is like "Kitchen Nightmares" and "America's Next Top Model" had a baby. Or something. Going in, it was kind of unclear what we were in for.
The Simon Cowell/Gordon Ramsey of this show is Paul Fisher, who is trying to link together small-town modeling agencies and make them over. He is flanked by Olga, a stern VP, and Joseph who probably pronounces it JoSEPH and looks to be an emo hobo.
Fashion Week
The show kicks off with four models that they're going to take with them to New York Fashion Week - Meghan, a sort-of Missy Pyle-looking girl but with big eyes like those velvet paintings of children you see at garage sales; Mariana, who is apparently a "baby gazelle" ... or Gisele; and Bobby, who by next year will be singing and dancing on "Glee." Then they take a chance on Annelise,...

We'll just get right to it: The CW doesn't have the best track record when it comes to reality shows. "America's Next Top Model" is the only one that's lasted more than a season, and that was adopted from Upn when The CW took its place in 2006.
Paul Fisher, whose "Remodeled" kicked off Tuesday night on The CW, insists that his show is not a reality show. "We call it a docu-series," he tells us when we sit down with him and his assistant, Joseph Villanueva. "The reason being that we just allowed them to follow us in what we do every single day. It was a dream of mine to transform the modeling industry, and when Sony found out what we were doing, they asked if they could do a show on us. We fought it for six months, saying 'This isn't a business to us! This is a mission of passion!

The CW announced its 2011-2012 schedule today. Fans of Sarah Michelle Gellar have a lot to be happy about, the lineup includes her new drama Ringer. Gellar stars "as a woman who, after witnessing a murder, goes on the run, hiding out by assuming the life of her wealthy identical twin sister – only to learn that her sister’s seemingly idyllic life is just as complicated and dangerous as the one she’s trying to leave behind." Other shows include Hart of Dixie, H8R, The Secret Circle, The Frame and Remodeled, along with the CW favorites.
Here is the official press release:
The CW Network unveiled the schedule for its 2011-2012 season today at its annual upfront presentation for advertisers, affiliates and national media from Jazz at Lincoln Center. Electro hip-hop group Lmfao staged a rousing flash mob dance and performed their hit song “Party Rock Anthem” to open the show.

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the fifth and final one announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on The CW.
Some changes this year to The CW line-up now that its longest-running show, "Smallville", has wrapped up after ten years. Only one of last year's new shows, the remake of "Nikita", has survived. Though only a modest performer in the U.S., it has been selling well overseas which lead to its renewal. The other newcomer, "Hellcats", got the axe last week.
All the usual stalwarts from "Supernatural" and "Vampire Diaries" to "Gossip Girl" and "90210" are returning. Even the perennially on the bubble "One Tree Hill", a show which has essentially descended into a satire of its former self, is coming back for a shortened 13-episode ninth season launching in January.

The CW has picked up two more new reality series for next season: The Frame, about teams of two living in a single room, and Re-Modeled, about small modeling agencies banding together to take on the big fish. The two shows join H8er, which was ordered earlier today for what I think is the largest number of new unscripted series ever introduced by the CW at its upfront as new president Mark Pedowitz is looking to combat the long stretches of low-rated drama reruns. Re-Modeled, for instance, can serve as a nice bridge between the two seasons of AMerica's Next Top Model. The Frame is a bi-weekly show, in which 10 teams of two will each live in a single room -- one Frame -- for up to eight weeks, under 24/7 surveillance. They will face challenges, head-to-head competitions and eliminations, all while isolated from the outside world, with the viewers...
