On Sunday evening, the reveal of the 2023 Oscars winners list brought to a close one of the longest awards seasons in recent memory. It probably felt even longer to the ultimate Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing winner, “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” which premiered one year ago at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival. It was on March 11, a full 16 days before the now-infamous 2022 Academy Awards ceremony, that David Ehrlich reviewed the now Best Picture winner for IndieWire. Even before The Slap, there were hot dog fingers.
At the Oscars, the Daniels-directed film won the most awards that any Best Picture winner has taken home since “Slumdog Millionaire,” which picked up eight in 2008. With seven wins, “Everything Everywhere” actually won the most Oscars of any film full-stop since 2013’s “Gravity” also won seven Oscars. But the Daniels’ film was...

Happy 4th of July everyone! In the spirit of the holiday, we've learned some news that should make us all proud to be Americans: Sam Jackson is rumored to be back, returning as Nick Fury in the highly-anticipated Captain Marvel film, starring Brie Larson. Bad news is, we have to wait until 2019 for this movie to premiere.
While there have been rumors of Jackson's presence on the set of Avengers: Infinity War, all indications are that this is just a minor cameo role. However, given the nature of the Infinity Stones (time, space, mind, reality, power), Fury's appearance could be a flashback, a false future, or just an illusion (or all three). Marvel has been coy about Fury's existence in this movie.

It looks like Brie Larson's Carol Danvers will be joined by another character from the McU in Captain Marvel. I think many of us figured that would be the case. It's fun seeing other characters from the McU crossover into different films. If you don't want to know who this character is, don't read any further.
According to Christopher M. of Omega Underground and IGN, Samuel L. Jackson will “co-star” with Larson in Captain Marvel. Obviously, he'll be reprising his role as Nick Fury. Here's the tweet that was send out announcing the news:
Looks like @SamuelLJackson will indeed be co-starring with @brielarson in #CaptainMarvel. Expected to begin shooting on January 8th in Atl. pic.twitter.com/SQyLdYZGDS
— Christopher M (@_ChristopherM) July 1, 2017
Until Marvel Studios confirms this, treat this as a rumor. However, it's a rumor that isn't really that far-fetched. It would be nice to see Fury back in action!

What happens when a prosecutor tracks down one of the most evil criminals of the century, only to find that politics and corruption prevent him from issuing an arrest warrant? This is the true story of the hunt for the Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann — not from the Pov of the Israeli agents that pounced on him in Argentina, but a German prosecutor hemmed in on all sides by Nazi sympathizers in his own government bureaucracy.

The 39-year-old Illinois man suspected of kidnapping his 13-year-old stepdaughter and her 2-week-old son last week has been taken into custody after all three were located in a rural mountainous range south of Charleston, West Virginia on Saturday. The Madison County Sheriff's Department in Illinois announced Saturday that Katherine Derleth and her infant child, Christopher R. Derleth, had been found after a nationwide search launched following their disappearance on Sept. 18 from their foster care home. They were located with the girl's stepfather, Christopher M. Derleth, who authorities allege abducted the children. Derleth was taken into custody without incident. At a...

There are few actors as iconic as Ray Liotta. With a portfolio as diverse as the man himself, Ray has become an industry favourite, with directors queuing to involve him in their latest release. Whether the role is of a serious nature - such as Goodfellas or Hannibal - or requires a humorous undertone (see Liotta's debut Something Wild), Liotta has made each and every role his own.
In Street Kings 2: Motor City, Ray Liotta (Goodfellas) delivers an intense, electrifying performance as Detroit detective Marty Kingston, the leader of an undercover narcotics team, whose members are being systematically murdered one by one. To solve the brutal killings, Kingston joins forces with a cocky, young homicide detective; but neither of them are prepared for the shocking corruption their investigation will uncover - stunning secrets that will set both men on a violent collision course with betrayal and vengeance. It's always interesting to go back and compare pre-production artwork to the final look of a film. Most of the time, the final film barely resembles the concept art, but that's not the case with Jim Steranko's 'Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark' work. [via Blastr]
Rumor has it that 'Monsters Inc. 2' will be a prequel, not a sequel, and will focus on Mike and Sulley's time together at the University of Fear.
It should come as no surprise, but David Fincher confirms that his '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' adaptation will be filmed in 3D.
Samuel L. Jackson, Luke Wilson and Leslie Bibb will star in a Chris Fisher-directed, Louisiana-filmed adaptation of Thomas Berger's noir novel 'Meeting Evil.'

Oops! I think I just gave away a spoiler, but Samuel L. Jackson and Luke Wilson will team up in the suspense thriller Meeting Evil based on the 1992 novel by Thomas Berger. The film to be directed by Chris Fisher in Louisiana deals with a recently laid off Realtor who suffering from depression after losing his job. Taking a cross-country joy ride to cure his blues he meets up with stranger, played by Jackson, who turns out to be not exactly what he seems to be.
Actually this sounds rather lame if you ask me. I say so because I have producer friend of mine who years ago tired to get this same project off the ground with Johnny Depp in the Wilson role and from what he told me the book really deals with a very lonely nerdy guy who finally makes a real friend for the first time...

Paul is now back on the big screen in familiar action-man mode as John Rahway in the bank heist drama Takers. Directed by John Luessenhop, the film's all-star cast also includes Matt Dillon, Idris Elba, Jay Hernandez, Michael Ealy, T.I, Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Zoe Saldana.

Winner of the 2007 pulitzer prize for drama, Rabbit Hole is David Lindsay-Abaire's brilliant and critically acclaimed play about loss, heartbreak and forgiveness. Becca (Patricia Duff) and Howie (Tom Harris) have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down. Using equal doses of humor and candor, this masterpiece is a refreshingly honest look at domestic tragedy and the healing power of love, laughter, and family... A life affirming testament to the endurance of the human spirit. The show is directed by Chris Fisher. It features Max Cole-Takanikos, Patricia Duff, Tom Harris, Jill Johnson, and Melissa McAlerney.
