Canadian distributor Chum Television International has secured the exclusive worldwide sales rights to three documentaries based on the "Puppetry of the Penis" cabaret act. The live act, featuring two Australians, Simon Morley and David Friend, manipulating their genitals, has spawned three documentaries. The docus will be offered at this week's MIPCOM market. The first, "Tackle Happy", chronicles the duo's first Australian cabaret tour in 1999; "Live At the Forum", a peek at their live full-frontal performance, shot at the Melbourne Forum; and "Cockstars", a documentary spoof depicting what it takes to be a penis puppeteer. " 'Puppetry of the Penis' is a unique property and a good complement to Chum Television International's catalog of innovative and highly targeted programming," said Kevin Byles, vp and general manager of the Toronto-based distributor, noting that the shows are likely to appeal to the pay-per-view market.
