Winner of the 1979 Nobel Prize for Physics (shared with Abdus Salam and
Steven Weinberg) for theoretical innovations leading to the unification
of electromagnetism and the weak force. Glashow's work focused on the
problem of unifying all the forces observed in nature. He taught
physics at Harvard.
