- While his 1978 hit song "Thank You For Being A Friend" was covered as the opening song of the television series "Golden Girls", the video effects of the opening sequence to the spin-off television series Nurses (1991) seem to be based on the video clip of "Thank You For Being A Friend".
- Andrew was the first voice on Mars when the Pathfinder in 1997 was woken up by the theme to "Mad About You" - "The Final Frontier. Andrew was the singer.
- Andrew played the majority of the instruments and did the arrangement for Linda Ronstadt's first and only #1 Hit, "You're No Good." He was her musical director and played a major role in her 5 most successful albums. He was in her band from 1973 - 1977, and sporadically throughout the 80s and the 90s.

- In 1996 Gold released a psychedelic 60s tribute record entitled, "Greetings From Planet Love." The band "The Fraternal Order of the All" (hilarious liner notes below) was fictitious. This album was a multi-tracked solo affair with Gold essentially playing all of the instruments and singing all of the vocals on original songs in the style of Gold's favorite 1960s bands such as The Beatles, The Byrds and The Beach Boys.
- Andrew was a second engineer on Joni Mitchell's album, "Blue.".
- Andrew's song "Spooky, Scary Skeletons" has become a perennial viral sensation tracking billions of views on various platforms including YouTube and TikTok.
- Upon Gold's death, his body was cremated, with his ashes returned to his wife, Leslie Kogan.
