Michael Gonzales is developing film projects for his banner, Filmgiant,
in Beverly Hills, California.
He is also a screenwriter, having started his career writing the
Jean-Claude Van Damme film Black Eagle, where he wrote the screenplay
on the island of Malta.
He has just completed co-writing two feature screenplays, a Latino
baseball film called The Alex Sanchez Story and Secrets, a murder
mystery set in the Central Coast of California.
Michael is also a tenured film professor at Biola University. He holds
an earned Ph.D. in Intercultural Education, a Master's degree in
Screenwriting from USC and a Master's degree from Loyola Marymount
University in Communication Arts.
Bravura, Michael's short dramatic film was an award winner in Milan,
Italy at the Sabaoth International Film Festival in 2004. His feature
documentary, Divorced American, also won an Aurora Award in 2006 for
outstanding feature documentary.
Michael is a member of the Writer's Guild of America, Independent
Documentary Association, National Association of Latino Independent
Producers, and the International Press Association.
