Penelope Cruz and Emile Hirsch snuggled up on the set of Venuto al Mondo in Rome yesterday. As filming continued, the scene turned into a fight with Penelope struggling to throw Emile's cigarette into the water. Penelope's been working on the project since last month and her husband Javier Bardem and son Leo have joined her on location. Penelope and Javier had lunch with baby Leo over the weekend during a break from production. It wasn't the only family time Penelope's had during her overseas stay, since her sister Monica and her boyfriend Alex Gonzalez visited the actress in Italy just last week. View Slideshow ›...

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem dined out with their 10-month-old son Leo Bardem in Italy on Saturday. The trio sat down to share an al fresco lunch, and Penelope and Javier took turns holding a smiling Leo on their laps. He stuck to baby food, while mom and dad shared spaghetti and kept him entertained. The Bardem-Cruz family has been spending time in Rome in recent weeks while Penelope shoots Venuto al Mondo there. The film, which also stars Emile Hirsch, has taken them to Sarajevo and Croatia this Fall as well. Despite her busy work schedule, Penelope is clocking lots of quality time with her family members during the production. Earlier in the week, Penelope hung out with her sister Monica Cruz and her boyfriend Alex Gonzalez in the city. Javier has been taking a brief break from the big screen while the family travels for Penelope's new project,...

He wore glasses, a green turtleneck, and most damningly, Walkman headphones so he could listen to the Cubs’ historic pennant-clinching game on the radio. We would later find out that he was a computer consultant who still lived with his parents, but he looked like a little kid, which is what Fox announcer Steve Lyons initially thought he was. Steve Bartman, the 26-year-old Chicago Cubs fan who reached onto the field for what seemed like a meaningless foul ball in the eighth inning of Game 6 of the 2003 National League playoffs, fit a profile. Even his name — Bartman — seemed to contribute to making him a villain,...

X-men: First Class Blu-Ray20th Century Fox Home Entertainment2011/Rated PG-13/ Running Time 132 minsList Price: $34.99 - Available September 9, 2011Just a few years ago, the X-Men movie franchise was in serious trouble when the third feature in the series was poorly received by fans. That film seemed to bring the story of Professor X, Magneto and the mysterious Wolverine to a happy close, yet despite being a huge hit at the box-office, audiences appeared to be let down. Fingers were pointed at writers, a last minute replacement director and even a studio who already had a bad track record when it came to adapting Marvel comics stories for the silver screen. Two years ago, the most popular X-man of them all, Wolverine, was awarded a feature of his very own which explored his origin. It too was a heavily criticized box-office hit. Was this the end of X-Men stories on the silver screen?...

Mo.Nique wasn.t a major motion picture star when she portrayed Mary, one of the meanest mothers ever seen on the silver screen, in Precious. And she hasn.t shown much interest in acting ever since she walked away with Lee Daniels. soul-crushing drama in 2009. But industry trackers pay close attention to any actor who earns a little gold man on Oscar night . as Mo.Nique did . so folks will want to know that the comedian and late-night talk show host is ready to get back in front of the cameras for another movie role. Mo'Nique is negotiation for a role in the indie dramedy Bumped, where she would join the already cast Camilla Belle and Kellan Lutz, Variety says. In addition to wooing Mo.Nique, the film . directed by Stephen Herek (Bill & Ted.s Excellent Adventure) . has signed Alex Gonzalez (Riptide in Matthew Vaughn.s X-Men: First Class...

Our X-Men: First Class Review.
Director: Matthew Vaughn
Starring: James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence
Release Date: Us & UK – Out Now
With opinions ranging from ‘hugely excited’ to ‘literally could not care less’, the latest – and, chronologically first – X-Men film is upon us. The main series has taken a considerable nosedive since the really quite excellent second film, and after Origins: Wolverine bombed all-round – killing the idea of an entire Origins franchise – it’s going to take something extraordinary to make people care about mutants again.
The majority of the story is set in 1962, as a group of people across the world begin to realise their evolutional advantage over mankind. On one side is Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne), a CIA agent who discovers that a dangerous group of mutants are attempting to antagonise relations between the Us and the Ussr. Outmatched and outgunned, she goes looking for help,...

From Left to right: Metal Gear Solid's Snake, God of War's Kratos, Resident Evil's Chris Redfield
This week's players are video game all-stars. Which of them would you...
Solid Snake
Perhaps the sexiest guy to ever rock a mullet, Snake is a master of stealth and star of the Metal Gear Solid series. He's gone through a few changes, and by game four he's a bit of a “daddy,” but few characters have managed to make grizzled look this good.
Kratos
This Greek warrior from the God of War series is rarely seen wearing a shirt, but we're not complaining. We're sure that underneath that gray skin and those sweet tats, Kratos is a big ol' softie. But maybe don't tick the guy off, or he'll probably murder you in an incredibly extravagant way.
Chris Redfield
Chris has starred in several of the Resident Evil games, and has buffed...

"X-Men: First Class," the fifth film in the X-Men big-screen franchise, hit theaters this weekend and took audiences even deeper into the origins of Marvel's mutant team. The origins of the movie itself, however, lie between the pages of almost 50 years of X-Men comic books, which the film draws heavily upon in order to craft its own tale of how the X-Men came to be.
Given all of that source material, we decided to take a look at just which elements of the comics made it onto the screen, and how the movie follows — or in some cases, takes a twist on — those classic X-Men stories.
If you haven't seen the film yet, consider this your Spoiler Warning. We'll be discussing details of the plot throughout this guide.
The most obvious contrast viewers will notice from the comics to the film is that this movie sets the...

Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class is coming, and, at this moment, one thing is for sure, we’ll soon have a chance to see a lot of mutants!
Today, we’re here to report that Spanish actor, Alex Gonzalez (Die Farbe des Ozeans) has joined the cast of the upcoming 20th Century Fox film, and he will play Janos Quested a.k.a. Riptide.
X-Men: First Class following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time.
Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s...

Spanish actor Alex Gonzalez is playing the mutant Riptide in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, it's been reported.
His involvement was revealed by a Spanish superhero fansite, which says Alex will spend four months in London shooting the film.
Gonzalez is said to be "super-excited" about landing the part and the site - Blog de Superheroes - says he has confirmed the character he is playing.
Riptide - real name Janos Quested - has the ability to spin his body at incredible speed. He can simultaneously generate bone protrusions in the form of shurikens (throwing stars) and spikes, which he hurls at opponents as lethal projectiles that can even penetrate steel.
In the X-Men comics, he a member of the villainous Marauders. For a look at the comic book version of the character, see below.
