In 1961,
Alberto Grimaldi founded Produzioni Europee Associati (PEA), in Rome, Italy, that became known for a number of low budget action movies in European co-productions with Spain and West Germany. The company remained active until the early 1980s, even through the decline of its films distribution to the American market.
