Amos Guttman was born on May 10, 1954 in Transilvania, Romania. He was a director and writer, known for Amazing Grace (1992), Drifting (1982) and Bar 51 (1986). He died on February 16, 1993 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Released four feature films and three short films ("Returning Premiers"
in 1976, "A Safe Place" in 1977 - both with Doron Nesher - and Drifting (1982)
(short) in 1982).
Immigrated to Israel at age 7 and lived most of his life in Ramat-Gan.
Studied cinema at Beit Zvi college.
He created two films named "Nagu'a" ("Afflicted")- they are completely
unrelated other than in the theme of homosexuality, and are usually
referred to as "Nagu'a (short)" and "Nagu'a (long)".
This Israeli director who was born in Hungary, died of AIDS in 1993 aged 38. He made four feature films and two shorts. He was openly gay and most of his films are gay-themed.
