- Jon, who declined in health after his brother's death, passed away in his sleep just eight months after Jim died of a heart attack in May of 2008.
- In one '70s episode of TV's "The Bionic Woman", Jim and Jon played cloned soldiers from another planet.
- After their Army service, they moved to California. They worked in a Los Angeles club, where they were backup performers for Kenny Rogers, John Denver, and the Carpenters. A gig at Disneyland got them noticed by Buck Owens, who signed them to a contract.
