Composer, songwriter ("Dog Face Soldier"), and radio executive. He
served in the First Infantry Division and then the United States Air
Force during World War II, then was general manager and vice president
at WLAP in Lexington, Kentucky. Joining ASCAP in 1943, his chief
musical collaborator was Bert Gold.
