Award-winning singer Natalie Douglas has performed several dozen concerts on the Birdland stage over the past ten years. Each time, she packs the room with an ever-growing fan base eager to cheer her inimitable voice, exquisitely-produced shows and passion-filled, hilarious conversation. Laura Pietropinto, former Assistant Director of Next to Normal, and a team of theatre professionals have come together to bring a unique two-week musical theatre workshop to Columbia University. Working with such figures as Musical Director Mark Hartman Avenue Q, Producer Jillian Robbins Annie, and Choreographer Lorin Latarro American Idiot among others, students workshopped College The Musical. It is the story of Nathan, a first year student trying to navigate his way through the college world.
