- Clemens Hasse was born on April 13, 1908 in Königsberg, East Prussia, Germany [now Kaliningrad, Russia]. He was an actor, known for Träumerei (1944), The Girl from Flanders (1956) and Boccaccio (1936). He was married to Ursula Diestel. He died on July 28, 1959 in New York City, New York, USA.

In films from 1932, often as comedy relief, small-time crooks, farmers or friends of the hero. After the war, noted as the German synchronising voice for, among others, Oliver Hardy, Lou Costello, Paul Fix and Eddie Albert.
