Canutt said, "There were only three things Dick Hatton was afraid
of--horses, guns and the outdoors".
Stalwart silent screen western actor. He was killed in a car accident soon after the coming of sound. Many of his films were produced by relatively obscure companies, as a result of which few of them have survived.
Founded Prairie Productions.
Appeared in several film with Vitagraph Studios in the 1910s, most of them being uncredited roles.
