He got in touch with the film business in Berlin in 1914 and he made his film debut with "Wollen Sie meine Tochter heiraten?" (1914).
He soon became a demanded movie actor and he impersonated different roles in numerous movies in the next years.
He began his career already in the 19th century as a stage actor and he appeared at different theaters in whole Germany.
The actor Guido Herzfeld belonged to the busy actors of the German silent movie era and he took part in some important film productions.
Besides classic roles he also appeared in the humorous field, among others at the Cabaret "Schall und Rauch".
In the 20s followed again impressive support roles in some important productions.
He came to Berlin in 1902 where he became established as a stage actor and director as well.
"Die Finanzen des Großherzogs" was his last movie and released after his death.
