Have you ever watched a crime show and thought you could solve the mystery better than the detectives? Is your ideal night out a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater? Are you a true crime aficionado? Do you love deciphering coded messages? If you answered yes to any of those questions, Hunt A Killer may be the game for you.
While I will admit to having a low scare tolerance, I’ve loved murder mysteries since growing up on reruns of Murder She Wrote. Given the inaccessibility of events like dinner theater during the pandemic, the idea of solving a murder mystery right in my own home sounded like a perfect opportunity for my husband and I to do something fun together. Hunt A Killer is a subscription service where you receive episodes of a murder mystery in a monthly box. The full mystery takes six boxes to solve,...

We had a great time at the Run For Your Lives zombie 5K last year and are looking forward to taking part in one of this year’s obstacle races. There are events taking place all year long across the country and we have an updated list of dates and locations:
“New this year, participants can expect to encounter increasingly challenging obstacles and an enhanced Apocalypse Party experience. Additionally, Run For Your Lives added the Kennedy Krieger Institute – an internationally recognized institution dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disorders and injuries of the brain – as its official charitable partner for 2013.
Run for Your Lives takes participants through a series of 10 to 12 manmade and natural obstacles – including a blood pit, zombie-infested maze and smokehouse – over a 5K course, all while being chased by professionally made up zombies. Participants can sign up as a runner, zombie or both, or choose...

We’re looking forward to participating in this year’s Run For Your Lives zombie 5K and have been providing Daily Dead with readers with updates on the events taking place across the country. Last year, you had to pay $35 to attend as a spectator, but it was just announced that admission will be free for all spectators who want to hang out and watch the race:
“Due to popular demand, and in support of our charitable partner, The Kennedy Krieger Institute, we are excited to announce that we will now be opening the gates to Spectators attending any 2013 Run For Your Lives event for Free!
The Kennedy Krieger Institute is an internationally recognized organization focused on the problems and injuries affecting a child’s developing brain. Not only am I a horror nut, but I’m also a video game, comics, sports and fitness nut. Whenever there is an opportunity for any of my worlds to combine it brings me joy that is unspeakable. It looks like a potential combination of these is on its way, and I’m so glad my proud city of St. Louis is participating. What I am speaking of is the ‘Run For Your Lives Zombie 5K Race’ that started in Baltimore last year and is now taking over 12 other cities including ours.
