Denmark's Crown Prince Frederick is up for election to become an Olympic official. The 41-year-old heir to the throne is one of six candidates being considered to become an International Olympic Committee (Ioc) member. Frederik joins Richard Peterkin of St. Lucia, Habu Ahmed Gumel of Nigeria, Habib Abdul Nabi Macki of Oman, Lydia Nsekera of Burundi and Goran Petersson of Sweden. The candidates are due to attend the annual Ioc session in October in Copenhagen, where existing members will vote on the nominees.
