- Six-times winner of the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans (1969, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1981 and 1982). Winner of 24 hour of Spa in 1966. Winner Sebring 12 Hour (1969, 1972). Winner of 8 Formula One Grand Prixs. Winner Rally Paris-Dakar Rally in 1983 on a Puch/Mercedes 280GE G. FIA Endurance World Champion for Drivers, in 1982 and 1983 (works driver for Porsche AG). Formula 1 World vice-Champion of Drivers, in 1969 and in 1970 as works driver for Scuderia Ferrari SEFAC.
