Many of Michael Jackson‘s posthumously released songs are available on streaming. Three were removed. One member of Jackson’s family questioned their authenticity.
La Toya Jackson said some Michael Jackson songs removed from streaming are fishy
Jackson’s musical legacy is still being felt after his death in major ways. Following his death, the King of Pop’s estate put out two albums of previously unreleased material: 2010’s Michael and 2014’s Xscape. Some of the songs from Michael turned heads due to allegations the vocalist singing them was not Jackson.
According to NPR, Jackson’s sister, La Toya, once sewed seeds of doubt. “I am shocked that things have gotten this far,” she tweeted. “This is ridiculous. I was at the studio when these questionable files were delivered. I heard these ‘so-called’ Michael Jackson songs raw and without the distraction of the well-produced music by Teddy Riley. Annie, are you okay? You look like you might faint after producer Graham King turned up at CinemaCon to surprise the crowd with a first look at Antoine Fuqua’s Michael Jackson biopic, Michael. Said to be an emotionally intense depiction of the King of Pop, Michael is positioning itself as a Huge event film. JoBlo’s editor-in-chief, Chris Bumbray, is in the crowd and says Michael will surely be controversial.
During his presentation, Graham said he knows everyone has an opinion about Michael Jackson, for good or ill. However, he did change the world of pop music forever, and his controversy made him a fascinating subject for Fuqua’s film. Graham also said Jackson was an enigma, but behind everything was a man with a very complicated, difficult life.
Michael contains 30 songs from Jackson’s legendary catalog. Next, a trailer played for the crowd, showing Jaafar Jackson as the Gloved One.

The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” is embracing the Motown sound — announcing key castings including Larenz Tate as Motown Records founder Berry Gordy and Kat Graham as the legendary Diana Ross.
As the film chronicles Jackson’s rise to prominence — first as a member of the Jackson 5, then as a solo artist — the record label will factor in significantly. “Power” franchise star Tate (who coincidentally played “Thriller” producer Quincy Jones in 2004’s “Ray”) takes on the Motown impresario Gordy, who redefined American music by platforming such acts as the Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, the Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, the Four Tops, Gladys Knight and the Pips and Diana Ross & the Supremes.
Graham portrays Ross, who, as lead singer of the chart-topping group, was asked to officially introduce the Jackson 5 to the world and remained a lifelong influence on Michael Jackson.

More than two dozen analog master tapes capturing Michael Jackson singing songs at The Hit Factory recording studio in New York in 1994 have been scrubbed from an auction site after a lawyer representing the singer’s estate threatened a lawsuit this week, Rolling Stone confirmed.
The rare recordings purportedly feature Jackson performing unreleased songs including “Lost in Love,” “Like U,” “New Jelly” and “Rescue Me.” The total of 25 metal reel 2-inch master tapes were unveiled by auction house Gotta Have Rock and Roll last month, drawing the attention of Jackson’s estate.

Despite the nostalgic gloss we often apply to the 1980s through the lens of shows like "Stranger Things," the decade Reagan built was a lot weirder than we often choose to remember. There's plenty of questionable fads to look back on with one eyebrow raised but the obsessive culture of health and wellness skyrocketed into the mainstream during this time period, and we're still reeling from the effects of it today.
Current audiences, even those that weren't alive in the 1980s, still have tangential knowledge of the 1980s workout craze thanks to its permeation of pop culture. Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" is a certifiable banger, Apple TV+'s dark comedy of the same name perfectly captures the home video workout tape boom, and as long as people continue to sing "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-Lot, new generations will be introduced to "workout tapes by Fonda."

In last weeks episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Stars, the queens had to write and perform an original verse to “Show Up Queen” which contained a heavy focus on activism and standing up for what you believe in. Trinity was declared the rightful winner after choreographing her whole team, creating moving lyrics regarding her HIV status and walking the runway in an incredibly over-the-top carnival outfit which was stunning! After her lip-sync with the mystery opponent (Alexis Mateo) it was revealed that the rest of the queens had voted and it was a tie regarding who should go home. This meant that the sole decision goes back to Trinity which was the least dramatic option that could have happened and also made the lip-sync somewhat redundant. It was revealed that Trinity decided to send Jan home instead of Pandora which I do not agree with but the queens...

Snatch Game is the biggest make-or-break Maxi Challenge of Drag Race herstory. Queens have either found legendary success, or their chances ended faster than their makeup dried. (Even faster than Thanos and his snap!)
The latest edition of Snatch Game of Love on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 6 Episode 8 was no exception.
Most of the queens delivered with an iconic performance that verged on legendary. The two queens who faltered, on the other hand, weren't so lucky.

A few competitors, like Kylie Sonique Love and Ra'Jah O'Hara, came pretty close to matching her fire, but Ginger's quick wit made zingers and banter look effortless.

This week on the 6th season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” the six remaining all stars put on their best celebrity drag in the dating show version of the iconic “Snatch Game.” Like the original version of the game, “Snatch Game of Love” tests the queens’ skills at impersonation and pop culture relevancy, as well as improv and comedic characterization. As standard for this season, the challenge results in one top performing queen and a set of bottom queens for the week. The top queen lip syncs against a secret assassin for the chance to choose which of the bottom gals should be eliminated. If the assassin wins, a group vote determines a consensus choice to leave instead.
In episode 1, Yara Sofia went head-to-head against Coco Montrese, but lost, and the safe queens’ choice for elimination, Serena, was sent home. In episode 2, Queen of the North and Canada’s...

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for Wednesday’s Season 1 finale of “The Masked Singer.”)
Fox’s oddball, smash-hit celebrity singing game show “The Masked Singer” returned Wednesday, revealing at the end of its two-hour Season 1 finale the identity of not one, not two, but three of its famous contestants — including the winner.
After Bee, Monster, and Peacock — the trio of remaining contestants — performed, it was time for panelists Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke, along with the studio audience, to choose which member of the group would win the Golden Mask trophy, and that ended up being the Monster.
Gladys Knight was unveiled as the singer behind the Bee mask, while the Peacock’s true identity turned out to be singer Donny Osmond. And last, but certainly not least — because he won — was Monster, who ended up being none other than T-Pain.

With just one episode of “The Masked Singer” left to go, now is a good time to look back at how well (or not) the four judges — Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke — have done to date at guessing the real identities of the celebrity contestants. Have you done better than them at figuring out which famous faces were hidden behind those elaborate masks?
The best guesser among the judges is Robin, who has correctly guessed four of the nine celebrities. He is followed closely by Nicole, who has gone three for nine. The worst guessers are Jenny and Ken, who have each managed to make just one correct guess so far. Not surprisingly, those two have embarrassed themselves with their inability to figure out who is behind the mask.

How does “The Masked Singer” keep the identities of its celebrity contestants such well-guarded secrets? Well, as host Nick Cannon reveals in Fox’s new teaser video (watch above), every audience member who attends a taping “must sign contracts binding them to secrecy.” In addition, “all electronics are banned,” including cameras and cell phones. “Thank you so much for supporting me [and] supporting the Alien,” La Toya Jackson said after her dramatic unmasking in the seventh episode of “The Masked Singer.” After the Alien was voted the weakest singer by the studio audience and judges Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and J.B. World, meet the Alien. The Masked Singer unmasked another tonight, and it turned out to be none other than La Toya Jackson. The singer and actress and member of the Jackson family had been masquerading as the Alien on the Fox reality show all season, but lost out on votes after competing against all the remaining masks: the Lion, the Rabbit, the Bee, the Peacock, and the Monster. After Alien’s latest performance of Pharrell Williams‘ “Happy” on Episode 5 of “The Masked Singer,” a physical clue was revealed that hinted at her true identity: a police badge. Joe Jackson, the family patriarch of the musical Jackson family, has been hospitalized and is being treated for cancer, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap on Friday.

However, the individual dismissed notions that his children have been blocked from seeing him, saying that several of his 11 children, including daughter La Toya Jackson, as well as his wife Katherine, have visited the ailing patriarch.

Get ready to moonwalk, folks! It looks like the legacy of the late Michael Jackson is being memorialized on Broadway. While few details are known at this time, including the name of the show, there are a few exciting things worth noting! "The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage have partnered to develop a musical inspired by the pop icon; the show is expected to bow in New York in 2020," Playbill announced on Wednesday, June 20. In addition to a projected date, the musical — which will include a number of Michael’s greatest hits — will be written by two-time Pulitzer Prize Winner Lynn Nottage, who is best known for Sweat and Ruined. Christopher Wheeldon of An American in Paris fame has also "been tapped" to direct and choreograph, Playbill noted. The Syfy Channel has released the first teaser trailer for Sharknado 6 and they announced that the title of the film will be The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. They can say that this is the last Sharknado film all they want, but I can't help but think that all this marketing for it being the final film in the franchise, is all just a way to set it up for Sharknado 7! Remember that time when the Saw franchise was supposed to end? The title also makes a point of letting fans know that the story is "about time", with the whole time-travel element. Anyway, here's the synopsis:
