In the last decade, Here TV, an outlet for exclusively Lgbt based creative content, has evolved from a subscription VOD service to having it's projects hosted by online streaming behemoths like YouTube, Hulu, and Amazon while still airing as a linear network in many markets and as an Svod service on all major Us cable systems. "We are eternally grateful to the hard-working Here TV staffers over the past decade and numerous Lgbt writers, directors, actors, and producers who have helped grow and expand the availability of Lgbt film and television projects to a wider audience. We are proud of the work Here TV has done in showcasing the work of Lgbt filmmakers, and we look forward to the next decade of bringing unapologetically gay programming to audiences across the country and around the world,” said Paul Colichman, Here TV’s CEO, and Stephen P. Jarchow, Here TV’s Chairman,...

Love him or hate him, one thing is for sure: Director David DeCoteau is a legend in the horror entertainment field. That can't be denied. He's the man responsible for 80's camp classics such as Nightmare Sisters and Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama. Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama gathered a once in a lifetime B movie cast including Linnea Quigley (The Return of the Living Dead), Brinke Stevens (Grandma's House), Michelle Bauer (Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers), Robin Stille (The Slumber Party Massacre), Hal Havins (Night of the Demons), and George 'Buck' Flower (They Live). While Sorority Babes was one of the most downright fun horror films of the 80's, another element stood out about the film, one that would go on to shape and define David DeCoteau's career. See, David DeCoteau cast this complete unknown named Andras Jones in the lead role. Right off the bat, you could...

Have a question about gay male entertainment? Ask the Monkey! (Please include your city and state and/or country.)
Q: I was always under the impression that Dom DeLuise, like other 1970s B-level comic figures such as Paul Lynde, Rip Taylor, and Charles Nelson Reilly, was a not-very-closeted gay man. I was surprised, then, that when he died last week, there was no mention of that in any article I saw. I did read that he had a long marriage to a woman and several grown children (certainly not proof of heterosexuality, but nonetheless). Was I just misinformed? -- Thomasina, Alabama
Dom DeLuise
A: You and the Flying Monkey both. I also always simply assumed DeLuise was gay, so I was as surprised as you were to read last week that he’d been married for 44 years and had three children.
That said – and I’m not necessarily saying anything about DeLuise,...
