Through a collaboration between sister properties Spike TV and GameTrailers.com, Viacom's newly formed MTVN Entertainment Group is attempting its first multiplatform integration with the revamped video game show "Game Head".
Spike TV will unveil on Friday the enhanced video game TV show, which will feature new "On Location" and "Game Trailers Download" segments produced by GameTrailers.com.
"This new collaboration is the first step in demonstrating the synergy within the MTVN Entertainment Group by driving viewers and users to both brands," said Kevin Kay, general manager of Spike TV. "We are combining forces among two leading video content suppliers: Spike in the TV landscape and GameTrailers as a leading digital presence."
Each week on "Game Head", host Geoff Keighley will as always provide viewers with the latest in news, reviews and previews about video games. GameTrailer.com's host Amanda MacKay will take gamers to red carpet events, and Daniel Kayser will cover the latest in video game media and downloads.
" 'Game Head' and GT share the same vision of providing informative, no-nonsense gaming coverage that resonates with gamers, and we are thrilled to bring GameTrailers' editorial voice and digital experience to Spike TV's audience," said Jon Slusser, CEO and executive producer of GameTrailers.
