On September 24, 1993, “Boy Meets World” premiered on ABC.

Will Friedle isn’t the type of person to answer his phone while at a lunch — especially at a work lunch. In fact, he may have better manners than anyone I’ve ever met. But this was an exception.
We’d been sitting for about 10 minutes — Friedle, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and me — gathered around a corner booth in a Studio City restaurant.
“Oh, my gosh, I’m sorry, I have to take this,” he says after pulling his iPhone out of his pocket. He quickly turns it around, showing the group the names that are scrolling across the screen: “Bill & Bonnie Daniels.”
It was just a check in from Mr. (and Mrs.) Feeny and no, it wasn’t a planned call. It was simply an example of how most (more on that later) of this cast is actually still close.

The curtain on “Boy Meets World” continues to be pulled back via the “Pod Meets World” podcast. During Wednesday’s episode, writer Janette Kotichas joined hosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong to discuss her experience on the show working under co-creators Michael Jacobs and April Kelly.
She explained that she already had a working relationship with Kelly, who told her she’d pitched the idea of the show to Disney and they were pairing her up with another writer to create the show. With that, Kelly brought her into “Boy Meets World.”
Fishel noted that past writers who had been on the podcast explained that the writers room in Season 1 was pretty divided between “the Michael camp and the April camp.”
Kotichas confirmed that, quipping that it was “the mean girls and then April and her two or three writers,” which also included Ken Kuta. “I didn’t realize going into it,...

Uncork’d Entertainment has acquired the horror feature “Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace,” featuring Denise Richards and set for release in summer 2023. Richards plays a tough weapons expert who clearly knows how to give demons the what-for, and you can see for yourself in the first teaser, exclusively via TheWrap.
And if that’s not enough, scroll down to see first look images.
Also featuring Arifin Putra (“The Raid 2”) and starring Josh Burdett, “Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace” sees a group of demon hunters led by Gabriel — an Afghan war vet struggling with some personal demons of his own — on a mission to defeat a terrifying army of the undead. Outfitted, of course, with some fairly awesome weapons by Richards’ character.
Given that the trailer confirms that, per the title, the Angels have already fallen, things look bad for our heroes. Luckily for them, and us, things look likely to get pretty gross,...

Since 2007, when Joe Quesada and Marvel editorial broke up the marriage of Peter Parker and Mary-Jane Watson in “One More Day”, superhero marriages (happy or unhappy) have become exceedingly rare with initiatives, like the New 52, bringing in younger, unattached versions of iconic characters, like Superman, The Flash, and Green Arrow. Remakes, comebacks, and sequels are rarely good, but that doesn't mean we'll ever stop making them. Nostalgia (not to mention money) is a powerful force, one that can pull any well-meaning creative bringing back beloved characters for another go. That's why it was rather surprising when Girl Meets World, the Boy Meets World sequel that debuted on Disney last year (14 years after the original ended its seven-season run), turned out to be so wonderful. We might never know exactly how Girl Meets World managed to capture the magic of its forefather, but with the show wrapping up its first season last Friday, here are a few educated guesses (and reasons why you might want to give it a shot): The original Boy Meets World writers. Perhaps the biggest factor here is that Boy Meets World writers and co-creators Michael Jacobs and April Kelly both came back to write and...

Cory and Topanga are here to stay, at least for another year: The Disney Channel has picked up Girl Meets World for a second season.
Girl Meets World is a spin-off of the popular ’90s sitcom Boy Meets World, a show that followed the lives of Cory (Ben Savage), Topanga (Danielle Fishel), and their friends and family as they grew up together. Savage and Fishel reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga in Girl Meets World as the parents of middle schooler Riley (Rowan Blanchard).
The spin-off, developed by Boy Meets World creators April Kelly and Michael Jacobs, has become the No.

Fans were in an uproar when it was announced that angel-turned-human Castiel would be getting a love interest for "Supernatural" Season 9. As if viewers didn't hate April Kelly (played by Shannon Lucio) enough already, these first look photos from her episode, "I'm No Angel," will only add fuel to the fire.
The CW just released the photos from episode 3 airing Tuesday (Oct. 22), and Cas' life as a human is about to get extremely complicated. He's homeless, hunted by angels, and alone. "The last time we saw Castiel talking with Dean, Dean said, 'Get your ass to the bunker.' I think Castiel has taken that to heart, but the issue is he can't fly, he has very little money, so how is he going to do this?" executive producer Jeremy Carver tells Zap2it. No, you didn't read that headline wrong, and no, that wasn't a typo. "Supernatural's" angel-turned-human Castiel is getting a love interest this season.
The CW's long-running hit series just cast "The O.C." alum Shannon Lucio to woo the fan-favorite character, TVLine reports. She will guest star as April Kelly, and will first show up in Season 9′s third episode, airing Oct. 22.
Seriously, Lucio got to romance Benjamin McKenzie's Ryan Atwood and now Misha Collins' Cas? Some girls just get all the luck.
This is the first time Cas will get some action on the series after five seasons -- though he did learn a few things from "the pizza boy" to impress Meg the demon before Crowley dispatched her once and for all last season.
Are you excited to see Cas get a love interest? Let us know in the comments below.
