- Birth nameNorbert Arnold Wilhelm Richard Schultze
- Composer and pianist, famed for his song "Lili Marleen". He was educated in music theory at Cologne and Munich, then was a theatrical music director in Heidelberg. In 1938, he set to music a poem, written by Hans Leip, about a soldier's sweetheart who waited for him in the lamplight, but it was not a success, selling only a few hundred copies. But in 1941 a version of the song ("Lili Marleen") was broadcast from German-occupied Belgrade, and made a hit with Allied and Axis soldiers alike, though British authorities reportedly ordered English lyrics for the song to prevent Allied troops from singing the German version. After the war, Schultze found himself discredited for his work in German films, and took work as a gardener, later apologizing for supporting the Nazi regime.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Hup234!

- He composed the song "Lili Marleen" (1938).
- Fortunately for his reputation, Schultze's setting of Hans Leip's timeless verses from the First World War will eclipse the work he did for Joseph Goebbels in the Second. He had no qualms about setting such lines as "Führer befiehl, wir folgen dir" (Command us, great leader, and we will follow), from "Von Finnland bis zum Schwarzen Meer" (From Finland to the Black Sea). He also wrote the music for the the Luftwaffe's unofficial anthem "Bomben auf Engelland".
- Hat six children from his two wife's. Two of his sons are Norbert Schultze Jr. (b. 10 August 1942) and Kristian Schultze (b. 21 January 1945).
- His subsequent comment regarding his war work was, "You know, I was at the best age for a soldier, 30 or so. For me the alternatives were: compose or croak. So I decided for the former.".
- Norbert Schultze attended first music lessons in his childhood.
