- In 1994, Chantal (then age 21) and her then-boyfriend were traveling through Italy when Chantal was hit head on by a motorcycle while riding a moped. She received severe injuries, including a broken femur. Chantal required six plates and twenty screws (also has been said that it was four plates and sixteen screws) in her face. As a result of her injuries, Chantal has no feeling from her bottom lip to her chin and also has a forget-me-not tattooed on her upper left arm to cover one of many scars.
