Richard Lang was born on July 27, 1939 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a director and assistant director, known for Tales of the Unexpected (1977), Harry O (1973) and Julia (1968). He was married to Carole Keppler. He died on April 23, 1997 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
His father, director Walter Lang, was close friends with Clark Gable and his wife Carole Lombard, and in fact the two were Richard's godfather and godmother.
Some sources have erroneously claimed that he was the son of famous film director Fritz Lang (who, in fact, had no children), but he was actually the son of a quite different and slightly less famous director, Walter Lang.
