He was able to continue his career as a filmcomposer after the war but he only had few more years left to demonstrate his abilities.
He began his musical career as a bandmaster, later followed compositions at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm.
Afterwards Leo Leux wrote the music for several revues which made him well-known to the audience.
He got his first engagement as a filmcomposer in 1930 for "Susanne macht Ordnung" (30) and in the next years followed numerous engagements for writing the film music.
Leo Leux did not have his first contact with the film business as a composer but as an actor in support roles.
