Lewis Capaldi has revealed that he has been diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome.
On Tuesday (6 September), the 25-year-old singer went public with his diagnosis because he didn’t want his twitching to be misinterpreted.
Tourette’s is a condition that causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements known as tics.
“I wanted to speak about it because I didn’t want people to think I was taking cocaine or something,” Capaldi, who is releasing a new single on Friday 9 September, said during an Instagram live session.
“My shoulder twitches when I am excited, happy, nervous, or stressed,” he added. “It is something I am living with. It’s not as bad as it looks.”
Capaldi isn’t the only famous musician who has Tourette’s syndrome.
Earlier this year, Billie Eilish opened up about living with the condition during a new in-depth Netflix interview.

Phillip Schofield has responded after a clip of a This Morning call-in game resulted in widespread disapproval on social media.
On Monday’s (5 September) edition of ITV’s daily lifestyle programme, Schofield and co-host Holly Willoughby played a game “Spin To Win”, in which viewers can win a randomly selected prize from a wheel.
One of the new additions to the prize list, along with cash, was the programme covering the winner’s energy bills for four months as a way to help with the cost of living crisis.
Monday’s caller ultimately won the energy bills prize and audibly reacted with relief as he described dealing with his current bills as “absolutely murder”.
After the clip was uploaded online, thousands of people used social media to express shock that energy bill payment was being offered as a prize, with many calling the state of affairs “dystopian”.

Joe Lycett was apparently told that Liz Truss was unimpressed by his stunt in which he pretended to be a “very right wing” fan of the Tory MP.
The comedian appeared on the first episode of Laura Kuenssberg’s new BBC politics programme on Sunday (4 September) ahead of the winner of the Conservative leadership contest being announced.
During the interview, Lycett cheered for Truss before explaining that he was now “extremely right wing”.
“I know there’s been criticism in the The Mail on Sunday today about leftie liberal wokie comedians on the BBC,” he said. “I’m actually very right wing and I love it. I thought she gave great clear answers. I know exactly what she’s up to.”
On Monday (5 September), Lycett appeared on Times Radio, where he told presenter Matt Chorley that he’d heard Truss was not pleased with the interview.

Los Angeles—I have a confession to make. Until Saturday night, I had never seen The Beatles’ “A Hard Day’s Night.” What? I know! I felt like this was a major black hole in my cultural education, especially as someone who makes her living writing about music. Like most folks, I was very familiar with the movie's glorious first scene of the lads being chased through the streets by fervent female fans as “A Hard Day’s Night” plays (opened by that instantly recognizable, iconic guitar chord), but I had never seen the entire 1964 film until this past weekend. As part of the TCM Classic Film Festival, Alec Baldwin and music producer Don Was introduced the film that some considered the greatest rock and roll movie ever made. Upon its release, the Village Voice called “A Hard Day’s Night” “the Citizen Kane of jukebox musicals.” There’s a...

Frank Sinatra once said, "Lennon was a most talented man and above all, a gentle soul. John and his colleagues set a high standard by which contemporary music continues to be measured."

John Lennon is to be remembered in a special video which will be released on his 70th birthday later this week. Beatles historian Martin Lewis has teamed up with the movie executives behind Lennon biopic "Nowhere Boy" to recreate the first recording made by Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison in 1958, "In Spite of All the Danger".
The recording was the first time the future Beatles ever entered a studio. The new movie Lennon, Aaron Johnson, recorded the track for "Nowhere Boy" and the video, directed by Lewis, draws on footage from the film, which is released in America on October 8.
Lewis tells WENN, "It has been an immense pleasure and honor to fashion this music video telling a capsule version of the inspiring odyssey of John Lennon's early years from such great original material."...

Call it the reunion of the King of the South and Martin Louis the King Jr. The last time T.I. hooked up with Kanye West, the two made the undeniable hip-hop anthem "Swagger Like Us." And the pair recently took half a dozen more shots at making another classic. You can add the Louis Vuitton Don to the list of acclaimed producers to work on Tip's next LP, King Uncaged (due in September).
"I just left Hawaii with Kanye," Tip said last night in Hollywood on the red carpet for the world premiere of "Takers." "We did six records."

It was 70 years ago - today that Ringo Starr was born. After fighting a series of childhood illnesses, the young Richard Starkey became an in-demand drummer in his native Liverpool and he replaced Pete Best in the group that was to become the most famous band in the world, The Beatles.
Now, as Starr turns 70, we thought we'd take a look back over his life and dig up some of the facts you might not know about the old rocker. Happy Birthday Ringo!
Ringo will celebrate his 70th with a private party at New York's Hard Rock Cafe and then perform with his All Starr Band at Radio City Music Hall in the evening.
Ringo has been asking fans to hold up V signs and chant 'peace and love' at noon on his birthday every year since 2008.
Ringo wasn't a fan of India when The Beatles went there to study...

The anniversary is being saluted with a major film festival in Los Angeles and New York: June 11 - July 31. Huffington Post bloggers are providing extensive coverage of the festival. Last night, Los Angeles' famed Egyptian Theatre was the venue for the start of the five-week Secret Policeman's Film Festival (in L.A.: June 11 - 19 at the Egyptian - and June 20 - July 19 at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills). The gala was attended by celebrities such as Monty Python associate, Neil Innes, Secret Policeman's Ball co-creator and champion Martin Lewis, Amnesty International members and reps, and many anxious to recap the thirty years that have passed since that first altruistic event premiered. The Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood stunned Beatles fans at a Fab Four convention in New York at the weekend (29/30Mar08) - by showing up to support George Harrison's ex-wife Patti Boyd.
Wood was in the Big Apple promoting new Stones rockumentary Shine A Light when pal Boyd alerted him to the 34th annual get together, dubbed The Fest, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The rocker decided it would be fun to show up with the former model to show once and for all the Stones' fabled rivalry with The Beatles throughout the 1960s was just a myth.
The ruse started when Wood, who joined the Stones in 1975, invited Boyd to join him and some pals on a night out in New York last Friday - the first Mrs. Harrison declined, but invited Wood to join her at the convention instead.
Convention host Martin Lewis says, "Ronnie saw the humour of the situation... and arrived by stretch limo at the hotel."
Even though it was nearly 2am, the hotel lobby and corridors were still jammed with hordes of Beatles fans participating in informal singalongs of Fab Four tunes.
Lewis adds, "The fans were shocked and stunned as I ushered Ronnie through the crowd to the gallery in the hotel, where Boyd was displaying her exhibit of historic photographs and original '60s mod outfits."
Wood chatted with some of the delighted fans, who launched into an impromptu version of I Wanna Be Your Man, the 1963 John Lennon and Paul McCartney tune that gave the Stones their first hit.
Lewis concludes, "Ronnie was in great form... He found the whole situation of sneaking into a Beatles convention hilarious."...

Latest: Funnyman Eric Idle's mock Beatles, The Rutles, performed live for the first time in Hollywood on Monday night.
Following a question-and-answer session at the Egyptian Theatre, which marked the first time the quartet had appeared together since making 1978 mockumentary All You Need Is Cash, Idle and bandmates Neil Innes, John Halsey and Ricky Fataar took to the stage at a Vip party.
The sold-out event was held to mark the 30th anniversary of the film, which the four-piece introduced at the beginning of the evening.
Celebrities who turned up to salute the mock rockers included Andy Summers, Jeff Lynne, Peter + Gordon star Peter Asher and The Simpsons regular Dan Castellaneta.
Asked about their 'reunion' after 30 years apart, Idle quipped, "This is the first time in history that a band has reunited before they have actually united in the first place!"
There was a surprise in store for the Rutles - 'reunion' instigator and 30th anniversary celebration host Martin Lewis read out a message from Sir Mick Jagger.
Jagger appeared as himself throughout the original 1978 film and, in the closing scene of the film, he was asked if he thought the Rutles would ever reunite. His response: "Hope not!"
Playing on that, Jagger sent the band the following message: "After all the on and off promises and cancelled shows, I can't believe you have finally decided - at your great age - to defy all the odds and recreate your magnificent past. I wish I could be there. If only to laugh!"...

Latest: Eric Idle's The Rutles 30th anniversary revue is set for a limited run in New York, coinciding with former Monty Python star's 65th birthday.
Idle devised the Rutlemania show to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the spoof Beatles band's All You Need Is Cash mockumentary, which first aired in 1978. A one-week season of tribute concerts, featuring Beatles covers act The Fab Four as The Rutles, interacting with clips from the original film and dancing girls is currently playing in Hollywood.
And Rutlemania will continue at the Blender Theater in the Big Apple from 24 March and run until 29 March - Idle's 65th birthday.
The anniversary celebrations in Los Angeles also include the first time the original Rutles - Dirk McQuickly, Barry Wom, Stig O'Hara and Ron Nasty - have appeared in public together; the quartet made no personal appearances at the time of the film's 1978 premiere.
Rock stars like Dave Stewart, Jeff Lynne and The Police's Andy Summers are expected to be among the fans in attendance to see a special screening of the 1978 All You Need Is Cash film, followed by a question-and-answer session with the four Rutles, Ron Nasty, Dirk McQuickly, Stig O'Hara and Barry Wom (aka Idle, Neil Innes, John Halsey and Ricky Fataar).
Reunion organiser Martin Lewis says, "This will be a magical evening where real rock stars show up to salute a reunion of mock rock stars."...
